The wire element gets over 260 to 325 degrees so hot that it melts plastic to gather, this temperature melts the plastic sealing bags to gather to create a seal, The Teflon strip is nonstick and allows the heated wire element to melt the seal bag to gather and create a seal, the Teflon does not allow direct contact of the heated wire element and the plastic seal bag, with out the Teflon tape strip the heated wire element will just burn through the plastic seal bag, and leave melted plastic on the wire heating element witch well burn out the wire heat sealing element !!!!!

My seals are air tight again!

Just installed this heat seal tape on my vacuum sealer after the original tape started getting wrinkled after 15 years of use and me using the wrong cleaning solution on it. All I can say is so far the tape works wonderfully! I'm just delighted I don't have to put a functioning vacuum sealer in the land fill.So far it seems to be sticking well and I will update the review if there is a problem but at this price, I probably wouldn't complain if it peeled off in a year or so. I have enough tape to repeat the process three or four times.One thing to note, this tape is a little thicker than the original, it didn't affect my seal quality but if it is significantly thicker than your original tape you might want to increase the seal time a second or two. But like I said, mine worked fine at the program heat seal setting of 5 seconds which I've been using for many years.

These are a little wider than the one Ihad on the sealer, but worked just fine. It was very easy to apply and sealed as they should. Great value for the money.

So glad to have found these-

The older Foodsaver wasn’t sealing the bags correctly and losing the vacuum from the bags. I thought it was destined for the trash and horrified at the price of a new one. This kit has 3 heat strips and the repair was less than 2 minutes. Now the machine works like brand new! 7 bucks instead of 200. Amazing.

Fixed an old black&decker freshguard vacuum sealer.

I was about to toss this old vacuum sealer that had one spot that wouldn't seal. I ran across a video that showed how using these strips fixes the problem. Fixed the problem. Super easy to install. Put the spare ones in the box for future uses.

Nice replacement strips for CG-15

I love this brand. I buy their bags, so when I needed to replace these teflon strips it was a natural choice to go with what works. They are the right size for my Cabela’s vacuum packer CG15 and they stuck well.
