AMM Portable Left Foot Gas Pedal Accelerator Drive Assist for Handicapped, Disabled, Injured, Drop Foot, or Stroke Drivers Using a Left Foot Accelerator Gas Pedal

After I broke my right knee cap I worried about how I was going to be able to drive. I already had drop foot on the right, so I was already having difficulty driving. I found this on Amazon and it has been a lifesaver! I had no Idea that such a device existed till I searched Amazon. My husband was able to install it pretty easily on my Nissan Murano. It is not permanently installed, and he used some extra duck tape to keep it from moving around. It allows me to drive with my left foot, and easily snaps in and out so my husband can still drive the car as well. I was already using my left foot for breaking for several years, so it did not take me very long to get used to it. I have been using it for 4 months now with no issues.

This product is Fantastic for AK amputees! I was hit head on by a drunk driver 1 1/2 years ago and lost my right leg. I was worried about my independence once I recovered but this product literally saved me from becoming needy or dependent on others! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I’ve actually bought 2, one for each vehicle. In my older Toyota 4Runner, I had my mechanic permanently bolt it into my floor. (With the supplied hardware). It easily slides out of the bracket with a pull of a pin for regular drivers in your family and slides right back in on the track when you drive. My 2nd one for my brand new Tacoma, I didn’t want to have holes drilled through the floor board, so I use the heavy steel plate mount. It doesn’t slide at all on carpet. I have slippery floor mats in the truck, so I keep my right prosthetic rested on the steel plate and that prevents it from any sliding. I HIGHLY recommend this product!

I truly love Able Motion. I've had it for about a month. It has given me great independence. I'm a disabled veteran. It's been two years since I've driven a vehicle. Due to an injury, I have nerve damage in my right leg and can not drive using my right foot. This system works very well. My only complaint is that the Velcro at the bottom of the system wears out after a couple weeks. Even though the system works well. I would recommend that if you purchase this, buy additional Velcro (and stick it to a floor mat). Velcro'ing Using a floor mat will keep your vehicle versatile for others to drive by simply removing the device attached to the mat. You could also have it professionally installed by calling the number on the box after you purchase it. It's pretty simple. Totally, without a doubt worth the price. best kept secret for those wanting to become more independent or suffer from right leg injuries. After installation I recommend taking the vehicle to a lot or parking garage for practice to gauge how much pressure to place on pedal. I'm so grateful for this system.

It is very sturdy and it works very well. I have 45 years in the automotive field and I had some issues getting it lined up right but in all fairness I have a five pound C.R.O. boot on my foot and can't move very well under the dash board. That being said I would ask for help if you don't have auto knowledge. It is not real hard to put together anyone who builds things or fixes things can do it. The product is great and it got me driving again but it takes some time to get use to. Try it out on a back road or empty parking lot before you get on the interstate or in the five a clock traffic.

I really appreciate folks manufacturing items to help us who are handicapped. I excitedly bought this about a year before I just recently tried to use this as I finally started driving again after my stroke. I was sure this would help me! However, my son and I called everywhere to find a mechanic to bolt it to the floorboard (because it dangerously moves without being bolted down) but everyone said they would NOT install this. I'm so sad about that - for me I suppose I foolishly wasted $230 on it. Hopefully others have had a better experience. But call around to see if anyone will bolt this down for you. It CANNOT be safely used otherwise because it moves if unbolted!

My son and I installed the unit , of course he use to install units like this before , with his help we had it installed in a half hour . I love it so far , very heavy duty , easy to adjust to fit my 2004 Buick . I bought the more expensive unit , much better quality .. I would buy again , highly recommend

This is been a lifesaver for me after my injury. In my state of Florida, it works great and has given me the ability to use the car again. I was required to take a driving test and get a special notation on my license. Also, I should add that I got this installed by 1 of the recommended installers here in Tampa. However, they did a shoddy job and did not connect the 2 pieces properly. Scarily, I was in the middle of driving on the 1st day and it fell into 2 parts! Thankfully I was not on the highway and was able to pull over by gliding into a parking lot and so I was not injured. But it did scare me. After that, I read the entire set of instructions and realize that there was a step that they had skipped where they are supposed to use a mallet and gently force 2 pieces together. Once I did that I had no problems. So be careful of who you use and always double check. But the product itself has been great.

Able Motion Co great to deal with!! There were aspects I needed adjust to - no big deal. Slight delay with gas pedal - easy to get use to - brake pedal a little recessed - could be unique to 2015 Toyota Tundra. Removing unit in and out easy very quick takes just seconds. Instillation no big deal very low cost under $200.00. After 3.5 months great.
