The product was exactly as described. It was still brand new and sealed in the collectors box. Everything was in perfect condition.

Lid doesn’t close all the way down but other than that it’s great. Every single card is cool which just makes it awesome

Product is great love this game, foil cards are a nice touch, however condition of cards isn't what I was expecting for a collector's edition. Many card have slight bends in them causing them to stick out when stacked side ways. Its a small thing, but with this being a collector's edition don't expect it to be in "mint" condition. *note this came in a damaged box which destroyed the year 4 that I had gotten as well. Shipping is terrible quality. Very little packing material so any damage to shipping box will result in damage to product.

I got into Ascension last year. I have the year 1 and 2 collectors editions, realms unravels, and have played the other expansions extensively through the mobile app. In general, I love Ascension, it's a fantastic game. The two expansions covered in this collection, Rise of Vigil, and Darkness Unleashed, are hands down the worst of the bunch. The Treasure and Energize mechanic creates potential for extremely potent decks and card synergy, but it also adds a layer of RNG on top of the normal luck associated with any card game. Likely due to the increased deck power level, heroes and monsters are very expensive to purchase / defeat. The combination of RNG and a very expensive center row means that players who get lucky with good hands can create ridiculous decks, while players who "whiff" with a band hand or two are completely unable to compete. It's common to end games with a point spread of 50+, compared to other expansions of about 20. I definitely recommend any of the other ascension expansions over this one.
