Some of these have cracked, but not a single one of the kindle screens behind the screen protector has broken. This cracks (and is still usable, by the way, for as long as it takes to replace it), and protects the screen. It's easy to remove and reinstall. I've gotten pretty good at installing them, so it was a challenge at first. If you're only getting one of these (which, why would you get the 3 pack if you only need one?) you might struggle to get it right the first time, but with even just a little practice, this one is easy to install correctly. If you mess up you can pull it off, clean either the screen protector itself (There's a sticky cleaner that comes with the protector) or the screen, then try again pretty easily without it breaking. It's very thin glass so, you know, be careful, but it's good stuff.
