IT WORKED!
I bought this carburetor for my 1985 Subaru wagon. (This is not same as the factory carb, and I am NOT recommending you try this, but...) I knew this was not going to be an exact fit for my application, but the base of the carb looked to be the same size as the base on my Subaru's intake manifold. It did in fact bolt right into place. Unfortunately the fuel lines and throttle linkage were on the wrong sides, but I was able to cobble it together with additional hose and fittings. The choke is manual, which I never did rig up, so it took some extra pumping and cranking to get her started. BUT SHE DID START AND RUN! (I was actually really surprised by that!) My original carb had a coolant inlet. This new carb does not. The manifold port for this I stuffed with aluminum foil. I literally hammered the foil in, really packed it tight. This carb did not come with a gasket. I made one from cereal box cardboard, which I coated with silicone gasket goop, and let dry. This carb did not include any directions or specs, so I just had to guess as to fuel mixture adjustment. Anyway, this carb did get my old Subie running again, though I only drove it a few times before I sold her. But at least I was able to sell a car that could move under its own power.

Easy upgrade, simple install, started first turn of the key
Perfect right out of the box. I purchased an install kit and replaced a worn out Weber with the 3k carb. Since it was a Weber that replaced the original carb all the hard work with vacumn lines and coolant was done then. Carb removal and install took less than an hour and It started first turn of the key and has worked flawlessly since.

Decent performance for the money
Fits well, and works. Not sure how it compares to the actual 3K carb, but appears to be as reliable as OEM. I didn't notice any appreciable changes in MPG, having 19-23 before and getting 19-20 after, though my driving route also changed, so that could also be a factor. The one thing to note is that the Samurai will not pass smog checks with this carb. You will need to do heavy modification of the exhaust system to do so. Otherwise it is s simple carb with few points of wear and should last a long time.

Happy customer...
This carb bolted right onto my 87 Suzuki Samari 4x4 w/1.3L engine and ran great right out of the box! Except for a little DIY mod's on the throttle linkage where the throttle cable connects (this was sort of noted in the Amazon post and is not a big deal if you have a Dremel and 15 minutes) it went right on. One semi-negative thing is the carb did not come with a carb to intake manifold gasket and I had to us the old one. I looked again and the Amazon post didn't say it did not come with the gasket. All in all great carb for the price, seems to work great, and I would buy again.

Great quality for the money
I bought this for my 1988 Suzuki Samurai. I used the full kit available online. No tuning required, started right up right out of the box. It's a quality piece for great money.

Started right up
Fit in as it should after a few other modifications. Runs good, so far it’s been good on the trails and a few steep inclines, waterfalls. Plugs looked good after 300 miles. Did get a drop in MPG and am getting around 18 now. 5th gear is a little more useful but don’t expect it to be a powerhouse. Just works and for cheap. 1988 suzuki Samurai.

Smartest & best buy thus far for my Suzuki Samurai
Frankly the best purchase made for my Suzuki Samurai. Note, this is not a kit, I installed on my Samurai but had to make a bracket for the throttle cable and spacer for intake air filter - not hard if you are a DIY person. Out of the box, other than install, the carb was not touched for tuning but hands down engine runs better and smoother than the crappy weber carb that I had tuned several times. Trail manners were spot on again without tuning. Short of EFI, I recommend this for a Suzuki Samurai running on standard pump gas. Better than propane conversion, no fussing with diesel conversion. Seller was quick, price reasonable and carb ran better than expected out of the box.
