NEEWER 79"/200cm Video Tripod, Heavy Duty Aluminum Alloy Camera Tripod Stand ...

Loving this tripod. Bought for my Dwarf III smart-scope. It is solid, the central rods mean that there is literally no upper movement when the tripod is on conrete/patio when using tge first 2 stages. I've tried to shake the top gently to simulate the movement I woukd expect with fairly strong wind, and it just won't move, but not yet tested this full extended. It goes to over 6ft high, so this will come in handy for me if nebulae and galaxies are lower in the skies. Only downside is the lovely wide rectangular mounting plate that screws onto the underside of my rectangular base of the Dwarf, although fine for daytime video and photography, doesn't work when you have to use the scope for astro photography, so you need to have the mount at rightangle to the base, but DO NO LET THIS DETER YOU FROM BUYING. You can tighten the base with the allen key supplied, so it is solid, and using the quick release button, it's easy to remove and replace in seconds. The movement motion up/down, left/right is soooo smooth, not that I need it when using EQ mode on my scope. Pics are The Gulf of Mexico nebula, The Wizard nebula, The East Veil nebula and Andromeda Galaxy.

A fantastic camera tripod. Built really well and feels top quality when in use. I use this tripod at different times for both my ptz cameras and my black magic designs Ursa amongst others and it really is a joy to use light weight, quick and easy to set up and has the added bonus that it can go tall enough and is stable enough to tower above people with its 2m height - so for the case of lock off shots it perfect for times where you dont have a camera riser but need to get above people's heads to make sure yoy have the shot without any problems. Over all its a fantastic tripod for the price you pay for it. Im so happy with it im looking to replace my other camera tripods with more of these.

Glad to report this is very sturdy. Packaging did have a hole in it but the product has not been damaged thankfully. It's actually my son who is using this and he has set it up and said it's just what he needs. Something he can trust won't collapse!

The product seems to be fantastic so far. Very sturdy build quality. Knocking a star off it as the manual says English but is actually in Spanish. There is no English in the manual at all!

Comes in a nice zipped carry bag, it feels very solid and the tripod head articulates smoothly. Feels super stable at all heights. Has a nice quick-release on the head. All easily adjusted - it's hard to fault this really Neewer is basically my go-to brand for photography gear these days.

I don't do many reviews for things I've bought on Amazon, but felt I had to for this magnificent tripod. I am new to amateur astronomy. Just something I do out in the back garden on a dark night. I recently splashed out for a very heavy set of 25x100 binoculars that need a very sturdy mount in order to observe the skies with very little wobble. I tried a bog standard camera tripod which seemed to be able to do the trick. But no. They were utterly useless. I needed something that exceeded my height (I'm 6'2") so that I could look up high and that would be very sturdy, so I decided to opt for this tripod. And I have to say, they are utterly FANTASTIC! Sturdy and robust, they easily take my weighty binoculars and I'm able to move and freeze the tripod and its arm easily to observe the skies with no wobble of the view whatsoever. If you want to buy a decent tripod, get this. You will not be disappointed.

Great piece of kit

We been using it for almost two years. At least couple of times a week. It’s an excellent product. Strong for a studio setup but may not be that good within a crowd. It’s not that heavy. Easily for into a suite case. Good value for money.

Really nice for the price. Feels sturdy

Let me just say WOW to my latest edition to my personal home photography addition, the Neewer 79”/200cm Video Tripod, Heavy Duty Aluminum Alloy Camera Tripod Stand. It arrived very quickly and as with all Neewer products, it was packaged professionally and without waste. I am always pleased with the Neewer commitment to smart design and using recyclable materials. Upon opening, I found all components professionally wrapped and in a secure and stylish carrying case. It is a well made and functional case that has dual carrying abilities, by hand or with the shoulder strap. The zipper is full length which allows for easy access to remove and replace the Tripod. I am now the proud owner of several Neewer photography pieces. I am extremely impressed and pleased with my Neewer Tripod. It has so many user friendly options and the "panning" abilities really free up your hands and allow for complete rotation and filming. I am currently using it also for still photos and I find it is exceptional in this regard also. As with all Neewer products, it is universal and works perfectly with my personal camera and components. The design on this Tripod far exceed my previous purchased brands. The entire leg system is the extremely heavy duty while still being light enough to carry. The leg extensions are user friendly and open and close with a superior ease compared to my other models. The height on this is beyond compare but when it is sitting at standard level, it does not take up any extra room or space. It does not appear bulky or cumbersome and is space sensitive. It is also pleasing to look at overall. This tripod takes minutes to learn it's functions and capabilities but serves as a high quality piece of equipment. I personally highly recommend this Neewer Tripod to anyone needing to upgrade to a better quality tripod that is affordable, well made, well designed and has great functionality.
