I recently purchased the Letaya Lateral 3 Drawer File Cabinet, and it has been a fantastic addition to my home office! Here are some highlights that make this cabinet a great choice: 1. This brand is outstanding value for the product. The assembly is tedious but instructions are excellent, and pieces fit together easily. This is my second product from Letaya and I would highly recommend.

Unfortunately, I’m very disappointed with this filing cabinet. I purchased it expecting a reasonably sturdy metal filing cabinet, but the overall construction feels very flimsy and cheaply made. The metal is thin, the drawers and cabinet don’t feel particularly solid, and the quality is nowhere near what I expected from the pictures. On top of that, one of the drawer fronts arrived damaged/dented. Even more frustrating, the locking mechanism doesn’t actually work properly, which defeats one of the main reasons I purchased a locking filing cabinet in the first place. I understand that shipping damage can happen, but the damage isn’t my only issue. The overall build quality and the non-functioning lock are problems with the product itself. I would not purchase this filing cabinet again and would recommend spending more for something better made.

The product as shipped was packed well and arrived in good condition. Extensive assembly is required but no problems were encountered. All parts went together quite well and, after assembly, all the drawers operated smoothly. This file cabinet is a good value for home use. I gave it a "four-star" rating because the feature that prevents more than one drawer from being opened at one time does not work otherwise I would've given it a "five-star" rating.

I am using this item as a dresser and it is even better than I expected. I measured everything and compared to my space and current dressers. I had 3 tall dressers and one wide dresser. This room was crowded and it was unbearable. Of the three tall dressers, two of them were 5 drawer and one was 4. I was able to get the clothes from 2 dressers into one of these. This has drawers which are 9 inches deep, almost twice the depth of the 5 inch depth of my previous dresser drawers. I have a ton of clothes and only a little space and storage in my house so this was an incredible help. I managed to put two dressers to the curb and I ordered a second one of these so I can hopefully get rid of the other two dressers. The dresser is taller than I am so I put my pajamas up in the top drawer because I don’t need to see what I’m wearing to bed. I just put long sleeves and pants on one side and shorts and short sleeves on the other so I can reach up and grab what I need without the visual being an issue. For the item itself, it was extremely easy to put together. I did not use the included screwdriver, I used a screw driver gun or drill. I did build it by myself in about 40 minutes. (I’m not a handy person, it was just that easy!) It’s extremely sturdy and is probably holding 70 lbs of clothes inside as well as a few blankets I rolled up and set on top. Only one drawer can be open at a time which is a great safety feature to avoid tipping. It does come with the mounting piece where you can screw it to the wall to protect it from tipping but since this room is being completely redone, I haven’t figured out the final spot for all the furniture in order to do that yet but without it screwed to the wall I still have had no issues with it leaning or tipping. I have had it for a month now and I can say this is one of my favorite purchases for organization in my small space. I am considering ordering a third one to store Christmas decorations, bags, bows, etc, but I haven’t gotten as far as measuring if this would be reasonable storage for these items or not. I don’t even know what else I can brag on on this, I just love it so much, it truly went beyond my expectations.

This file cabinet is very heavy—over 100 pounds—so be prepared for that right from the start. I opened the box, removed all the pieces, and carried everything up to the location where the cabinet would permanently live before beginning assembly. From start to finish, the process took me about three hours. I’m a 58-year-old woman who genuinely enjoys putting things together, and overall I found the instructions to be mostly clear. There were a few steps that could have used better clarification, so I read the instructions very carefully and revisited certain sections multiple times. Taking my time made a big difference, and patience is definitely key with this build. That said, the design itself is very intuitive and makes it nearly impossible to assemble the cabinet in the wrong orientation, which was reassuring throughout the process. Once assembled, I’m extremely satisfied with the cabinet. It’s well-made, sturdy, and thoughtfully designed. Files fit both horizontally and laterally, which is a huge plus. I attached the cabinet to the wall, which I would strongly encourage for safety and stability. Overall, this is a solid, high-quality file cabinet, and I would absolutely recommend it—especially if you’re comfortable with careful assembly and taking your time.

Takes a while to put together!

I love the look of this cabinet. I had to replace a three drawer lateral filing cabinet. The old one was a very sturdy one that probably cost hundreds of dollars, this one was reasonably priced at under $200. I am a teacher and the school does not have much money for extras like this so I was excited to find one for under $200. The saying "you get what you paid for" is very evident in this case. While the filing cabinet looks very nice, it is very thin metal and seems very flimsy. I hope it lasts me a few years. It is a bit more shallow than my previous one, but everything fit nicely. It does lock and that is what I needed, one that locks. The lock is very flimsy as well, I do hope it holds up for awhile. I only received one key and really would like two, in case one goes missing.

Easy to setup, lightweight. Works as expected.

My order took over 4 weeks to arrive. I understand they has to re-ship the order due to damage however this was not communicated to me until I pressed for an update. Once it arrived the cabinets were also damaged/dented from poor handling from the sellers to me.

I thought the cabinet would come assembled, but it came in a box and we had to assemble it ourselves. The assembly wasn’t too hard though. It had clear instructions. It took us about an hour to assemble.
