Does this card work with dell xps 8930 computer?

Almost burned up and melted my computer Was watching youtube relaxing and got up to get a drink. I got back and the computer was off. I turned it on and then saw flames from inside the computer from the side vent ( no visible panel). I immediately pulled out all cables from the back the computer had already shut down automatically from what had been going on. The side of the case was hot. Had to bring it to the open door ( good thing we have a snowstorm cooled it right down.) I opened up the case and saw damage to the card. No visible damage to the computer. Not sure about the PCIe port though. The computer is up and running now. Had the card installed for 2 weeks or so and was working fine. Install was clean and no problems.

Is it built cheaply or have any issues?

I didn't find it to be of poor quality. I installed the card in a PCI e slot, plugged in a couple of USB devices and the computer/card recognized the devices immediately. No issues and I have had the card installed for over a month.

Can i install this on a pcie x1 gen 2.x?

Yes,absolutely ,seamless connects on PCIE X1 Gen 2.X . And forwards on PCIE GEN3.X, backwards on PCIE gen 1.x . The mother boards will select best solution.

will this work in a HP slim line case?
