Pet Wellbeing Milk Thistle for Cats - Liver Detox & Health, 2 oz

I have a sphynx cat that showed a high level on a liver enzyme; he did and allergic reaction to the medication prescribed by the veterinary. They recommended this product. I bought it and gave it to my cat twice a day and just last weekend we run bloodwork again and his levels are optimal. Thank you !

. Milk thistle is something I like to use for liver support, and I was especially hopeful because this one includes a natural bacon flavor, which sounded like it might actually appeal to them. Unfortunately, my cats are not fans. Even when I mix it into their favorite wet food, they tend to avoid it. I was surprised, because I expected the flavoring to help, but it didn’t make much of a difference for my crew. I’ve had to get pretty creative to get them to even try it. The only method that’s worked for me so far is layering it. I’ll put the appropriate dose of the glycerite on a small portion of food first, then add about half a tube of Churu on top to mask the taste. After that, I crumble their favorite treats over it, usually freeze dried chicken breast or sometimes sprinkle in freeze dried green lipped mussels. Prepared this way, they’ll actually eat it. I’m going to keep trying because I do like the idea of this product and the benefits milk thistle can offer. That said, palatability has been a challenge in my household, and it definitely takes extra effort to make it work. Other cats might tolerate it better, but if you have picky eaters like I do, be prepared to get a little creative. Also, it is in a plastic bottle.

Our cat was pretty ill, to the point that she had jaundice (yellowing of the skin due to liver issues). She was very weak with little energy and loss of appetite. We started doing research when we came across milk thistle and we were intrigued on the reviews due to the specified capabilities of the product. So we decided to purchase the product and give it a try and to our surprise it is helping a lot. Our cat does not take the milk thistle on its own, we do mix it in with food, but by doing this she has no issues taking it. She now has more energy, is actually up walking around, and playing. She has also regained her appetite and does not seem to have a yellowing to her skin anymore. Now this product isn’t like really cheap, but it also is not overly expensive and in our opinion well worth the money!

So I have 2 seniors and they are sisters. Only 1 of them is in liver and kidney failure. I did research after the diagnosis from the vet and Milk Thistle kept coming up so I decided it couldn’t hurt so I ordered some about 6 weeks ago. I give it to both but my main concern was for Jinx.. I see a difference in her movements, her character.. she is more like her old self. She still has alot of fluid so she is “round” and not fat but that even seems to be going down slowly! I will continue giving it to them both since seeing is believing and I do honestly believe it is helping!! 5 stars!!

Unfortunately, I couldn't get any of my 3 cats to ingest this. One of my cats has liver problems, so I bought it for her and she wouldn't eat it no matter what I tried. I even mixed it with juice from a can of tuna (no salt added), and syringe fed it to her, and she frothed at the mouth and spit it out. That's how I can get cats to take most liquid medicines unless the medicine tastes really bad, so my cat thought this stuff tasted really bad. My other 2 cats who normally eat all sorts of stuff, including Denamarin pills as another test, wouldn't touch this stuff. So I can't attest to how well this works on helping a pet's liver since I couldn't get my cat to eat it. I ordered the powdered form of milk thistle Starwest Botanicals Organic Milk Thistle Seed Powder, 1 Pound and all three of my cats will eat the powdered milk thistle when I mix it with dried chicken liver powder. The powdered form of milk thistle is a lot cheaper than this product as well.

(pictures eating food and laying on blanket are before & at the start of using this product, two photos of him with a string are from today 6/2/2021). this company is a MIRACLE. three years ago, i used their kidney products to save my dogs life, who the vet recommended we put down as there was nothing else they could do for him. i recently moved into a new home and my 5 year old cat began losing weight and stopped eating entirely, even his favorite treats. he lost 4 pounds and was so skinny that i could feel each individual bump on his spine and his fur on his back stood up and was spikey. when i took him to the vet, we thought it may be a dental issue because he was trying to eat but would drop anything he put in his mouth. bloodwork revealed that he was developing a fatty liver and the vet recommended that i force feed him. i did it for a few weeks without seeing much improvement or weight gain and after an emotional breakdown with my boyfriend over our sweet baby’s declining health, i realized i needed to check this company’s products and find something for the liver. i began to mix it in with the liquid food i was force feeding him and i am not joking when i tell you that his personality started coming back after the first use. he had been depressed and hiding in closets for weeks and that all stopped after his first dose. it has now been about a month and i am so so grateful that i have my cat back. he has put weight back on, he is eating normally again, he plays and acts like his normal self. please please do not give up on your animals before giving this company a chance. they have literally saved two of my pets lives now. my cat will he getting his liver enzymes rechecked in a few months but all of the symptoms he was displaying before have left. i cannot spread enough good words about this company and i am begging you to give them a try before you believe that there is nothing left. when my dog went back to the vet after using the kidney products, they were baffled and said it was a miracle that he was alive and recovering. this company is a godsend ❤️

Thank God for this product, I was heartbroken when our vet said that one of my cats blood test revealed High liver enzymes. I started to cry when he told me that milk thistle might help, shes a semi feral cat, and its a big problem taking her to the vet but, I noticed the difference after a few months, she is more happier and gained her little weight back! I have not taken her back for another blood test because as I mentioned its very difficult so I take her when her shots are due or in case of an emergency. She's 10 pounds so I give her the minimum every other day as the vet instructed.

I have used this for my cats as a supplement in the hope it will help to keep them and their livers a little healthier. Both cats were happy to eat in their evening meals, so the taste must be fine. It smells fine too. The Pet Wellbeing brand is good quality, and this is reflected in the high price (currently around £58 for a 118ml bottle) so only the user can judge its value for money. Easy to administer using the dropper inside the bottle cap. It is hard to state its effectiveness, but I hope it does its job for my boys.

This company is amazing. I have bought other stuff from them. My cat had a runny nose and watery eyes and got her respir-gold, the next day she looked and felt better. Now my other cat was sick had slight elevated liver enzymes and I put this in his food. He used to hide cause he felt sick. Now he is happy and walking around and more importantly he is eating. This company has saved my cats. I will be always indebted to you

I bought this after my 2 elderly cats were diagnosed with 1 cat liver disease 1 cat kidney disease. The kidney disease was very bad and not a good outcome expected. I gave him this and the renal diet. Beginning in august. After 4 months his renal failure has reversed about 70% and he no longer needs the renal food. The other cat has recently been diagnosed with liver cancer. I also gave him this and another herbal extract for general well being. This has helped him so much, he began playing and his energy level increased. It’s given me more time with him. In august the vet spoke about “ quality of life” and we made a plan. I thought he would be gone by now, but he’s still having many good days a few bad. I still keep a note of his well being as advised by the vet.

Much like the majority of these excellent reviews, I offer another review of equal caliber—simply because this product is what I truly believe saved my cats life. Back in June (2022), my little girl, Cloud, disappeared for three weeks and came back ragged, thin and she appeared to be yellow in the eyes, ears and other visible skin areas. She did not eat, drink or groom herself. After taking her to the emergency vet, they assessed her and ran both blood and urine tests and her liver enzymes were in the 350 range. The vets provided all their options including hospitalization (2500.00), euthanization and then home-care (provided a 25% success rate). At first, due to the financial struggle, and the vets convincing case that she likely wouldn’t make it, I opted to euthanize her. they shaved her arm and gave me a few moments to say goodbye, but when the vet came back in to follow through, Cloud and I both agreed we’d try the at-home care. For the next two month, I injected fluids under her skin, syringe fed her, fed her anti-vomit pills and antibiotics and food stimulants and after a second check up, her results were worse and even lost weight from 3.2 pounds to 2.4 pounds. I had already spent over 1600 on her and couldn’t do more, so one last attempt at saving her I googled natural remedies and Milk Thistle came up everywhere! I bought a bottle from this amazing company and after treating her for 5 days (I gave her three times the dose per day due to her serious condition), she began to eat on her own, and day 7 she began to drink water on her own! Her skin has almost returned to its healthy pink colour too! It is now 14 days on milk thistle and now giving it to her daily at twice the dose and she is grooming herself and putting on weight like a trooper!! I will continue to give her this life-saving product and lower the dose next month.
