Dewalt Metal 3-Inch Wire Cup Brush, Knotted, DW4910

I've been using Dewalt wire wheels for years and have three of these. I have worked them hard and they simply get the job done removing loose paint, debris, and rust. Two of the three are smooth, one of them seems to be a bit less balanced than the others, but it also has seen a fair amount of use so that's probably normal. Just keep in mind that these will put a hurting on your grinders, so I tend to work for 10 or so minutes, and then swap to a different grinder to let the first cool down. You do need to put some pressure on these to clean things like diamond plate which is where I mostly use them. I have not had any issues with losing wires, at least that impacted me. Wear the proper PPE when using these and keep any loose clothing away from them. If you catch a sharp edge with these, they will take you for a ride, so make sure you always have a good grip on your grinder. I always use a secondary handle when running these, but they make cleaning irregular surfaces much easier, so while I can never say I enjoy running wire wheels, they are often times the best tool for the job.

I was feeling guilty about how hard I was pushing this brush on sharp rough steel all day after day for a full week and it still worked great . I must say I have never had a brush hold up to that kind of abuse. Worth the extra premium.
