I bought this through desertcart, 9 days before Christmas. It arrived three days later, in an desertcart box. I parked it in the garage, as it was a present. When it was opened, the original manufacture's box containing the amp was inside the desertcart box. It had been opened and not re-sealed. There was no printed documentation. The amp itself was in fine shape, but,... what the heck? First, impressions- It looks just like an Eden. Same cloth material cover, same pattern in the speaker grille, which sports the same Eden badge. Weighs nothing. Shipping slip said 8 lbs. I'm thinking 3 of that was cardboard. Jacks feel like quality jacks when I insert a cable. Knobs have a smooth feel to them- the volume knobs for each channel are detented. Acoustically, this thing is loud! For 15 watts, it puts out a lot of sound. I ran one bass passive and another with active electronics through it and both were making the speakers break up with the volume knob at no more than 11 o'clock. I'm guessing the weak link is the speaker. Maybe my pickups are really hot- your mileage may vary. The quality of that sound is noticeably mid-range oriented, but not to the level of being unpleasant. The tone control provides some decent thickening of the lows and overall, I like the variety of tones I can get out of such a bare-bones set of controls. The dual inputs/controls is a nice touch for teachers who want something with a small footprint. I can't imagine a bass amp getting much smaller without sounding like a car-stereo. The MP3 input (1/8") allows playing along with recordings. So for practicing and teaching, this is a good option.
