**Q: Would this replace a metal lid with bend tabs all around? Bought 5 gal stain but won't use it all this season. Need a good seal.**
A: You would have to hammer all the tabs tight and then pry them all open again when you want in. This lever lock seal is more convenient.

**Q: I need a container that will hold 60lbs water pressure for mixing saltwater. Will this lid hold that pressure?**
A: Pressure won't be a problem for the lid. Mine leak at the rolled seams around the bottom. Might be the heat for me, I put 300* oil in them. But they also corrode, a small amount and very slowly for me, but that might be the oil that is slowing it down. The saltwater will definitely be faster.

**Q: Hi, does this fit a 5 gallon plastic bucket?**
A: It's not designed for plastic rims. I wouldn't try it.

**Q: Can i store hot cooking grease in can**
A: That's what I used the pail and lid combination for.  However, drill a small vent hole in the lid.  This will prevent the can from crumbling when the oil cools.  The seal is that good.

This will work on any metal 5 gallon pail and is definitely worth the investment if you choose to store salt-sand mix in it because it keeps it from getting wet. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ very tight seal

this lid was used on a pump we made out of a 5 gallon bucket for our fish tank. It seals perfectly to a standard 5 gallon bucket and doesn't leak even under pressure of a large 75 gallon tank pushing water through the bucket. This saved us tons of money ($200) on a nice filter. The regular bucket lid that came with the plastic bucket leaked so we ordered this metal one and it did the trick perfectly!! Highly recommended. Also, we were able to cut the lid and put a pipe through it without an issue. Still no leaks!! the hinge fastener is very very tight and water tight!
