Contrary to another review below, the mW/cm2 is written right on the box and in the product description. There are no instructions, but the research used the 8mW//cm2 setting (the lower of the two settings, with the white spacing tube) once a week for three minutes sometime between 8:30-9 in the morning. My golf professional husband uses it at least weekly to improve his distance vision, and he believes it has improved contrast and the ability to see golf balls farther. I don't have vision issues but I use it, and while I have not noticed any particular improvement in vision, I do notice that at the start the infrared lights were a combination of red, yellow, and green, and now they are all red. Maybe one of the researchers can tell us what that signifies?

I tried it out in my field. I turned it on knowing there were deer in the field about 50 yards away. Anyway turned it on shining on the ground first. Nothing ran off. So I thought maybe no deer were out there so shined it towards feeder. 7 DEER , 3 Racoons. They just kept eating never looked my way. So if you want a light you can see with and get to your stand and not give that big buck a chance at seeing you. Buy it. It’s also rechargeable. And the battery last a long time. Bought another one for my son. But if you watch the video it is stuck in a flash mode. Sent it back. Got a replacement FAST!! Great company. Great light. If you are a SERIOUS HUNTER. this is a must have light. I’ve tried it several times now on deer. They do not even look up. Nor stop eating. Even in flash TBEY can’t see it. At 670 nm I guess it’s true. Deer see it as black. So if it’s dark TBEY can’t see it. Highly recommend!!!

no instructions for a product that is intended for red light therapy it is cheap, more of a toy than a real flashlight mine failed to work upon arrival by fussing with it, i can barely get it to turn on way overpriced, worth about a dollar, even if it actually worked properly no batteries included

I am using this for red light treatment of my eyes. The product works well and seems to provide the expected 670 nm wavelength for vision therapy. The only restrictions on its functionality are the lack of a 3 minute timer as recommended in red light vision studies and the fact that you can really only do one eye at a time. I still use this on occasion for extra treatment of my worst eye but have primarily switched to a pair of rechargeable red light glasses with a built-in 3 minute timer when I do both eyes. Those glasses do cost several times what I paid for this flashlight type unit, however.

It seems to give me better contrast but have not noticed any vision clarity improvement.

I bought this light to view my 14 pet tarantulas in the dark, because that is when they tend to ld their spidery things. Tarantulas cannot see red light, and after using this right up in their faces multiple times, I can say that is seems to be 100% red light. They have no idea if is there. It is bright and seems like a quality device... But this is one issue that I have using this further... Possibly from the light glare created off of the acryllic enclosures, but after using this for an extended period of time, my eyes see colors differently. The first time is used this for about 30 minutes I'm the dark watching Teddy, my Honduran Curly Hair tarantula molt. As I was climbing back into bed at 2:30am, I noticed that the nightlight down the hall looked very blue. I giggled to myself and immediately passed out the second my head touched the pillow. Now tonight I spent a good hour watching my girls eat after a feeding and do their spider-stuff using the light. Afterwards I notice that other red lights (such as my snakes heat lamps and my Hue lights) looked yellow. They have slowly started becoming increasing orange, but 4 hours later, they still look orange. I assume that I will be able to see the color red again when I wake up, but I don't think that I will be using this light again for anything other than short bursts. tl:dr Light is awesome and better quality than I expected. 100% pure red light, but I have safety concerns and will discontinue routine use.

This is a handy versatile light. Arrived as described. Just unscrew cap remove battery carousel and add 3 AAA batteries, return screw cap on and go. One click is low and two clicks high, third click off. The spacer is nice for eye use I marked mine to keep at a 3" distance. With the aluminum design it stays very cool. To use on skin just remove the foam spacer. I've only used it for a couple of days, I hope it lasts. So far it's working very well as expected.

I give two stars because, after I got the lamp and started using it low, high intensity of the lamp, it happens that I am not able to turn on 40mW/cm what does the (high intensity option), the device is new but what should I do, returning it to the seller would cost me extra money, in short, unfortunately I am not satisfied and I am a little disappointed with the device.

habe die Lampe schon 2x benutzt mit ausgestreckter Hand kommt auch auf die Entfernung von etwa 65cm ob die Augen besser werden, kann ich noch nicht sagen, die Anwendung ist einfach (3 Minuten)

Product takes 3 AAA battery which is insufficient to generate sustained power. But standard LI battery at 65mm does not fit. Needs special 51mm length battery. Effectively doubles overall cost or you spend a fortune in useless AAA batteries

Truly incredible. I got laser eye surgery 12 years ago and the surgeon explained my vision would decline in my 40s - the sudden decrease in my vision starled me and I didn’t want to go back to wearing glasses. I watched an interview with an eye specialist who said the mitochondria in the eye can be charged with red light (670nm) at 4-5 inches away from the eye, for 3 minutes per eye per week between 08:30-09:30 (when Mitochrondia is most active) and it effectively restores vision, albeit ‘temporarily’ and that you need to top up the mitochrondia every week. But, I’m finding the results to last far longer than a week with each use. Before I couldn’t see facial details 5ft away, now I can see facial details 20 metres away. And I can read the smallest of text on the TV, whereas before even the largest text was blurry. It’s truly incredible.
