ONGUARDMastiff-8020 Keyed Chain Lock - Black, 11.0x1.0 cm

The chain and its cover is excellent and it certainly seems secure, but the lock can get hard to... lock.So far, it opens easily with a turn of the key.The key must be in to lock (which is a good design), but the key has twice become very hard to turn to lock. This leaves me worried that it will fail altogether at some stage and (worst case) leave me locked up. In both cases, a serious amount of oil to the internal mechanism brought it back to life.

Exactly as described and very tough. Previous locks have proved to be easy for criminals but this guy has stood up to what I think is evidence of a couple of attempted robberies on my bike.Bit heavy for cycling around with but at least I still have my bike!

This lock is heavy, sturdy and a total thief-repellent. It's also great that you can't take the key out unless it's locked so there's no possibility of leaving it unlocked or not done properly. I live in Barcelona, which is notorious for thieves and pick-pockets, and I feel completely at ease leaving my bike on the street with this lock because it both looks and is very secure. Would recommend 100%.

After a few months of daily use, the tumbler inside of the lock has broken and the chain is now stuck on my bike!!I honestly wish I could recommend this lock, because it's a high-quality chain - no one's getting through it in a hurry, trust me I've tried - but it's not worth the risk of having it break and being unable to remove!I guess a silver lining is that I've now got a very heavy weight keeping the bike firmly tractioned to the road, but it wasn't worth £30 for the hassle!

Looked a the reviews for this lock before buying, and was quite impressed especially with the you tube video showing different locks and how long they take to get at. i have brought dear locks so i am hoping this gives me years of joy and protecition . It is heavy but what did you expect?
