Arrived in oversize box from SPREETAIL with no packing between the actual box that item was mfg for. Shipping box was dented, and VERY poorly taped together. Miraculous the humidifier was undamaged and complete. Ready to use right out of the box, but added the extension tube to it. Instruction with pictures easy to follow..We have a slightly smaller model from AIR INNOVATIONS works EXACTLY the same, one gal tank capacity instead of two, supposedly for a somewhat smaller room. That one we've used for years in our MBR. This one has the capability to "humidify" a larger room, per the mfg specs. Been using it for a week, works perfectly, and does raise the humidiy in our great room by several points, although we do use a ceiling fan on reverse to circulate the air better in the winter. Based on separate humidity sensor across the room. If you're expecting it to make a huge difference in a large room, I don't believe any unit of this size would do that. It has an additional speed which does in fact put out more mist than its slightly smaller brother, but of course uses more water. It also has a small remote which really is kind of handy. We have accepted the fact that during the winter months these humidifiers will run on distilled water ONLY, and so we have NO "white powder residue" anywhere, nor do the units need to be cleaned, or filters or any part replaced. Unfortunately that distilled water costs $1.12+ per gallon in our area. At one time it was .80/gal. We go through about $40+/mo in distilled water.The great room unit runs days, evenings only, the MBR all night on a mid-level setting. Fully realize not everyone is willing to incur that expense. The alternative is white powder, replacement parts, and seasonal cleaning.the units do what I believe is an acceptable job for us.

I have two of an older version of this that I used for years i loved them, they worked great, but was sadly one was in need of replacement. So I ordered the newest model. Not sure if it was a returned item, a bad unit, or if this is an issue with the product. But the first time we used it, it had MOLD when we took it apart to refill it. I have never had that problem with my other ones. So was very disappointed.Would I buy this brand again 100% yes. Like I said this was a replacement for one I had. So the 3 star is not because it isn't a good product it is because the unit I recieved grew mold in a week. My years old one still hasn't ever grown mold because we follow the directions for cleaning and use distilled water.I really think this was a returned unit where the seller bought a pallet of returns and resold it as new. It did not seem to be packed the way my other 2 units had been. But I thought maybe the manufacturer was reducing packaging trying to be environmentally friendly. But after it developed mold so fast, I really think it was a returned unit.

This is my 4th humidifier, and it's King of them all!! I have 2 Princess sizes, 1 Queen size humidifier, but THIS IS THE KING of humidifiers!! It holds 2 gallons, so I'm not constantly refilling the tanks!! I moved from the CA coast after 42 years to Iowa, where the humidity has been in the 20's & NOT the 95% to 100% we're used to!! The nose bleeds have stopped and we can all breathe better now!!! Thanks so much!!!
