Generous amount, very little dust.
I ordered some tightly woven bags and have been filling them with this charcoal. The pieces are small but not to the extreme, and there's very little dust which I was very happy about. Most of our closets are too small to have AC/heat vents so they're not climate controlled and I don't like having to always leave the closet doors open for ventilation. When they're closed up they tend to get that stuffy musty smell closets sometimes have. Depending on the size of the closet, I've put one or two bags of charcoal in each closet. In some I just set it on the shelf and in others I hooked the loop of the bag on a hanger. I've also hung a few of them over the edge of our laundry hampers. I don't know if it's my imagination but after just a week it seems to be helping.

Shipping
Arrived early and nicely packaged. Have not used yet and hoping not to have to. I used it for an 3 stage air filter i Built to to supply clean air to the my basement for sheltering in place. The particles were uniform and not as much charcoal dust as I expected.

Under weight
Weigh it. By weight the local Pet Smart Jar was less expensive since it had an accurate weight.

Does the Job
I put the charcoal in mesh bags, then hung the bags in closets and the return air grill on the HVAC to absorb moisture and odors. Lay the bags in the sun for several hours every few months to recharge the charcoal. Works well to keep clothes and air fresh.

This is the one.
This charcoal is just right for aquarium filter use. Right size particles, not too much dust, filters well. I will buy it again, and recommend this item to other aquarists.

Ground up charcoal.
I use this product underneath the waterfall in my koi pond. In the fall the leaves can create tea-like watercolor This carbon absorbs that leaving your water nice and clear. Replace it twice a year

Too much trouble and granules are too small.
The granules are very small and contain a lot of carbon dust. The last time I tried to use it, it was adding dissolved solids to the water. I'm going back to carbon blocks.
