KastKing Spartacus II Spinning Fishing Reels for Saltwater & Freshwater

I picked this reel up to pair with my KastKing Spartacus Passage travel rod (which I received through Vine), and the combo works really well together. At this point, I’ve tried a few KastKing products, and I’ve been consistently impressed — this reel continues that trend. The drag system stands out right away. It’s smooth and easy to fine-tune without needing big adjustments, which makes a difference when fighting fish. The reel itself feels solid, and the bail action is crisp and responsive, giving that nice positive feel when engaging. I also like the overall finish — clean, low-profile, and not overly flashy, which I personally prefer. For a compact reel like this, it feels capable and well built, whether you’re using it for freshwater or lighter setups. This is a great reel. I am very impressed with kastking. I have high dollar reels, this surpasses them, by a long shot. I will be buying more kastking reels. This one cast nice and is so smooth awsome job kastking.

Excellent spinning reel at a fraction of the cost of high end reels.

This is a fantastic reel! Smooth casting, easy to use. Two issues I've had with it so far (~30 hours use): 1. The bevel where the bail meets the line roller has a small gap where line has gotten caught, and because the edge is sharp, the line gets cut if you reel in another revolution before noticing. I've had the line get cut 3 times, I just plan on putting some UV resin over the gap and it'll be a issue (see picture) 2. The Bail only snaps up in certain spots of the revolution, otherwise you can't snap it up to let line out. I don't know if this corresponds to the position the handle is in, but I haven't had this issue with other spinning reels. Overall it's a great reel, and I'm happy to continue using it.

Great reel. Very smooth and light weight

Paired with a Fuji Panfish Ultralight rod and SOS Trout Magnet 2lb test, I’m very happy with this reel. I was using a Shimano Sienna 500 reel previously, but wanted to upgrade to a 1000 reel with a stronger bail and more line capacity. The drag is fantastic, and you don’t have to make large adjustments to dial in the feel. I will go by 1/4 turns in or out. The bail flip is solid and gives a good “pop feedback. Lastly, the matte finish looks nice but also feels nice when handled. I’m not a fan of chrome and glossy reels. Definitely an A++. Good value considering features vs. price.

Loving it so far

Never used a KastKing before now, but I have been hearing good things about them, so gave it a try. It has a lot of features, lots of bearings for the $. It looks like it will last.

The product is as per the specifications and it's worth without any defects.

Bought this for my rod used it for the season everyday even dropped my rod in the water reel still works amazingly

Ligero, suave, arrastre excelente, buen freno y muy cómodo.

Worked for 2 months... The anti reverse is broken. Whether I click the switch or not it still goes in reverse. 30 day exchange is not long enough.
