Review: Good ANC, long lasting, durable. - I bought these in January of 2023. I figure a review might be good to share. I use these nearly daily for light listening and for calls at work. I initially didn't like the sound, but after some equalizer tuning, I found settings that I liked and have now been using for over 3 years. My MDR-7506's sound better, but that's a different story. The seal to the head is good, until you turn your head left or right, then it breaks a bit, but not too badly. They hold a charge for a very long time. I haven't had to charge these more than 10 or 15 times in the years I have had them, seriously. Wired. . . they suck. I don't recommend using them wired. Connectivity, I've never had an issue, and have like the option to allow 2 simultaneous bluetooth connections. That lets me use my phone and PC, without needing to manually change connections. I've never had an issue with the quality, and the included case protects them wonderfully. They ride in my daily commute bag along with my keyboard, again another story. The noise canceling is really excellent. They cut mechanical noises the best though. Bassy, and great for use on airplanes. I've used them for videos, movies, music, and calls. Never had issues with any other than the normal slight delay from bluetooth for videos. The feature where you can pause and start with a tap, adjust volume by sliding your finger, and covering the right earcup to allow pass through are all really useful. I paid 398 for mine, and they are worth every penny. Review: Well, they are good. - Greetings, Good headphones for the price. I used to use Samsung Buds 1 as wireless earphones. For me this was a major update from Samsung earphones, I guess. + Bluetooth works well. Sometimes in crowded spaces, like an office, earbuds used to disconnect randomly due to radio band congestion. These are working well, haven't experienced any disconnects for a month since I bought them. + The battery life is much much longer comparing to my buds. I can charge them once in 2 weeks and use them for ~5 hrs 5 days a week. + Weight is also good. I used to have some older Sony wireless headphones, don't remember the exact model, but it was from 2020. That sony was heavy, these are light. Not as light as my Dekoni Blue, but pretty good, considering the battery life and wireless feature. Yes batteries have a finite lifespan but unless the battery is faulty it should last you years with proper care. I have had my XM3s since 2018 and I wear them for about 10+ hours a day and charge them overnight using my laptop every single day, and I have had zero issues with the battery life. It probably has deteriorated to a certain extent but not enough for me to notice. Considering these headphones are advertised with battery lives of up to 30+ hours on a single charge with NC, I think most people will be fine with the default battery for a very long time, unless it malfunctions in which case I'm sure sony could do something. READ THIS. *by W***S on May 4, 2023* I am almost 65 years old SO, I DO NOT have the ears of a 18 year old. That said, I consider these to be good for these reasons: A: Exceptional battery life. B: Call quality that was considered good UNTIL I did a direct comparison to my Blueparrott B450-XT’s - NO WHERE NEAR the quality of the Blue 450’s, BUT the Blues are made specifically for calls in noisey environments. . Blues are in my opionion the defacto standard by which all other ANC phone calls should be judged. My "demo" for people is to run my upright vacuum cleaner whilst on a call. People on the other end cannot hear it AT ALL – REALLY!, I hear them, and they hear me perfectly! TRULY amazing! I did the same test with these and alas they failed miserably in comparison. I expected that. I was told they sound like I am in a room away from the microphone, a bit fishtank like, and muddy. SO, they’ll do in a call but not as a primary phone call device in noise. I heard a sample of the BOSE 700’s and they were terrible, which is what prompted me to get the Sony’s. C: One unconventional thing they do great at: A Sleep Aid. Yup, they drown out all the extraneous noises like people talking, Air conditioners, fans, Water coolers, hums, etc. ALL gone with nothing playing through them! I bought them primarily for playing on my PS5, and watching TV late at night. They do both quite well. D: Amazingly, my ears do not sweat much in these even after prolonged use. I’ve ordered those Dekoni Suede Earpads for them as well just for added comfort. E: They are long-term comfortable unless you have ears like a B-52 in which case you will probably be stuffing bits. As for music, I find them to be more flat without pronounced highs or bass - which I prefer. The EQ on the app is a nice feature. The ANC works very well listening to music and will be adequate to the task in both quiet and noisey settings. Again, I remind you, I’m not 18. ;-) Pricewise, they ARE a bit expensive but the build quality seems better than most. If you have the time, I would HIGHLY recommend you test several brands and models at a store simply because sound quality is subjective and EVERYONE has their preference. UPDATE: 5/23/23 - Returning (REPLACING) Headphones - Why? They started acting "Funky". By that, I mean that if you turn them off, they will not turn on unless you do not hit any buttons for about 15 sec. NOT normal. ALSO, they started to exhibit Connection issues that were NOT there initially. I STILL, at this point consider them excelllent. Now, if the NEW pair goes weird, THEN I would have to re-evaluate. UPDATE 6-3-23: New pair are working as they should no connection issues or on/off bttun problems. UPDATE 2-16-24: Still working perfectly and I use them nearly every night to sleep.
