Vintage Tradition Men's Tallow Deodorant | Aluminum-Free 2 oz

So I’ve only been using this for about 2 ish weeks and I see the difference with my skin. I usually get rashes from deodorant, typically within 3 days of use but I haven’t had a reaction to this yet, and I think I might be in the clear. It smells good and my skin looks great. It says 48h coverage but it lasts me about 18 and that’s just fine with me.

LOVE this deodorant so much!! It keeps the stink away very well, even in SE Texas where heat and humidity can be a problem year round, feels great under your arm and smells great too. I ran out of my tallow face balm a while back and before the order for more arrived I used the deodorant balm on my face, worked just as well as the face balm. All their products are tallow, real oils and essential oils so they are all great products that can be used without any fear that there are all sorts of chemicals, etc. being put on my just shaved arm pits which is a big no no for most deodorants, you absorb even more of any and all, good or bad ingredients that are in the product when you are freshly shaved. I also have problems with smells, most of the time must have unscented everything but this does have a bit of smell but it is pleasant, not over powering and if I can wear this without problems just about any can!! Just ask my family, it drives them crazy that I have such issues with all smells and deodorant smells that are warming under your arm and coming up through your clothing can be very over powering and believe me, I have gone through and tossed so many because there actually was some smell I could not tolerate in the unscented deodorants. With Vintage Tradition deodorant balm I do not really notice it after a while and I have no worries as I do with other deodorants about chemicals. The aluminum thing is controversial but I say, if there is a possibility that it can contribute to Alzheimer's disease then best to avoid the stuff on the shelves and stock up on my Vintage Traditions. not a bad balm but the scent smells like pizza and its a bit over powering was not a fan. Definitely try a small amount first before buying the bigger jar like i did because I love the mild and manly now I have a balm that I won't ever use :(

The only reason I give it 4 and not 5 is because it makes my husband and I smell like pizza or food at times. Better than BO but definitely not ideal.

I was hesitant at first because I read a few reviews that were not good but I’m glad I gave this item a chance, I truly love it!!!! I have used it every day since and it’s like they said, it gets better and better the more you use it. I do not have awful body odor, even after sweating all day ,and it does last! Yes, the smell may be a little strong right at first, but then it subsides and you can’t even smell it afterwards. I’m in love with this deodorant, and I think this is the one that I will be using from here on out.

I really wanted to try this deodorant so I got it but it definitely does not keep the stink away. I don't mind the thyme smell if it would have worked but it did not. Way too expensive for something I ended up throwing away.

*I'm trying this deodorant along with 2 other natural deodorants. This one is winning so far because it doesn't stain my shirts, cause irritation nor I had the need to reapply several times during the day. A good alternative for natural deodorant , if you are looking to escape from aluminum based or baking soda formulation (in my case both of these cause irritation) with stained shirts (underarm) then you can feel confident in giving this one a try. I work at an office with regular standing and walking, and exercise everyday on a dry and hot part of the country; I'm on the bigger end for guys so I sweat profusely . Fragance : Almost unnoticeable, for ME the fragrance smells like/reminds me off fresh oregano. I did not saw it labeled as an ingredient so I could be wrong, either way (if it had) oregano is an antibacterial I believe. Application: Very smooth is not as tacky as other natural deodorants due to the lack of baking soda. * A little goes a long way *: Yes! , this is true as it follows from the previous point, the smoothness helps with application. *No greasy look* Yes!, I can attest to this , did not believe it will pan out as the product has a very soft/smooth consistency. The jar is small enough for taking to work or on a gym bag. This last point is handy if you need to reapply . I had not had the need to reapply yet, just one application in the morning before heading to work and at night before bed.

i sweat an amazingly gross amount and i'm allergic to store-bought antiperspirant. it gives me huge painful bumps under my armpits when i wear it. so i'm constantly trying to find a natural deodorant that will work, as i'm also sensitive to baking soda which is in 99% of all cream formulations. i learned this from getting huge rashes in my armpits from "natural" cream deodorant that made it impossible to wear deodorant at all. UGH. what a stinky and painful ten days that was. my best luck has been with coming up with my own spray-type deodorant that works fabulously, but it doesn't exactly keep you dry and you have to reapply it throughout the day. i wanted to have something longer lasting and lower maintenance in my anti stink arsenal for those days when you can't reapply as often. i was very shocked by the price tag on this one, but it had amazing reviews, so i bit the bullet in hopes it would be the last cream type deodorant i would have to buy. after three days i can say that it will be. it isn't an antiperspirant, so you will still sweat, and it has a herbaceous smell i'm slightly not fond of (and i say this is as a maker of natural products - its mild though)... but it really really works even in the dead of summer. will definitely, absolutely be repurchasing.
