Hanes Women's Raglan Sleeve Stretch Cotton Crewneck Tee

This is the shirt I wear so often that it's almost a uniform; over the past year I've bought several each in black, grey, and white, and one navy. They're very versatile, comfortable, soft, flattering, and durable. They don't shrink or become misshapened in the laundry. The 3/4 length sleeves make them suitable pretty much year-round here on the Gulf Coast. The cut and sizing are different from any other tee I've tried on: at least one full size small through the bust; has a very flattering, slight nip at the waist; and it flares at the hip. My hips are small and narrow, so that flare provides a lovely illusion. The shirt hits at the high hip -- I love that it isn't overly long or overly cropped. I'm 5'7", 128 lbs, 36D, and XL is almost snug in the bust, skims over my waist, very roomy at the hip (Normally a L, sometimes M in other shirts) The provided size chart should be more accurate. And the price is amazing.

I love Hanes products in general, and this doesn't disappoint. Most of my summer wardrobe is in the pinkish/floral range, and I needed a plain white or pink shirt to wear with nearly all of my skirts. I like 3/4 length sleeves. Once I got the size right (5'8", 235 lbs, size 18--the 2X had the right fit for me... a little loose), it was perfect. It was so perfect, that I ordered two more in each color to keep as my (literally) daily go-to tops. I wore one to my harp class once and my teacher said "OMG that is absolutely exactly the perfect kind of shirt I keep looking for," and I was all like LOL and I brought it up on my phone and she said "$9.87? Seriously?" I ordered two of them for her (small) on the spot right on my phone. She was delighted. Cannot go wrong for the quality and price. The fabric is sort of "thick-t-shirt" gauge. NOT thin, NOT see-through (like this one, which was too thin: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D4514NX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I'm not particularly fond of raglan sleeves, but this is not an overtly raglan-y looking shirt. Hugs enough of the right way for an ample torso, without betrayed bra bulges or anything, and is as flattering as a shirt can be in this size. If I had to ding it for anything it's that it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to get stains out of it, even with prompt attention. Several different kinds of spray prewash (that work well on everything else), hydrogen peroxide (which ate through one of my shirts, but that was my bad) and even soaking for a week (literally) in the washing machine with Tide. I mean, that usually gets out the most stubborn stuff. I'm blaming the fabric, but maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I've never had this kind of trouble with stains (garden variety stains like salad dressing, etc). Recommend! This is a basic thing everyone should have in their wardrobe, even if it's to wear under something else!

Be aware that the Hanes size 2X is not the same as Hanes' brand Just My Size 2X. It is much smaller. The size chart for this Hanes tee, based only on chest size, said that a 2X would fit me. However, it did not fit; it was too small, especially small in the hip area. If you can get the right fit, this is a good tee. I like the raglan sleeves, that provide a good fit at shoulders, regardless of your shoulder width. No sloppy dropped shoulders. I also like the three-quarter length sleeves. Comfortable cotton fabric. For cold winter weather, this would be great for layering under a sweater or sweatshirt. Also would be good, by itself, for autumn and spring.

This is an awesome shirt. Good quality Saturday 100 percent cotton and tagless. But be aware: you should probably order a larger size. I’m a solid medium and the medium was uncomfortably tight. Since I’d washed it I couldn’t return it. I’ve since bought a large. Hoping a wash and dry will make it fit perfectly. The large don’t shrink much. While it’s more comfortable it looks boxy. Also, the bottom hem tends to roll. I wouldn’t but again.

I had a Hanes shirt I had purchased about 10 years ago and absolutely loved (still going strong!), but it’s finally starting to fade from black to that obviously faded color. It suddenly dawned on me that I should see if that style was still made - we’re talking Hanes here so not a company influenced heavily by the trends - or at least something similar. I found this which looked like it was made of the same comfy, durable, fabric and similar fit with roughly the same neckline and 3/4 length sleeves - all boxes checked plus a killer price! Based on the TruFit model info, I should have ordered the Large (I’m roughly a 12) but I always order up a size because of upper arm issues and I’m not fond of things clinging to my body - I love the comfort of a bit of spandex, but not how it looks when outlining my muffin top! I saw a few reviews saying it ran a bit small and looked at the photos and decided to order up 2 sizes, knowing this fabric and cut (assuming they were as I expected) would be very forgiving on sizing. My XXL came and it was perfect. Same fabric, same sort of fit as my old shirt. If I had the body of my youth and was fine with a more form-fitting top, the L would be a great fit. With my arm issues, the XL would absolutely have fit me and I’d have been happy with it. But the XXL was very comfy and just floats over my body in the middle without being overly loose in the shoulders or hips, the two places it actually contacts the body. It just hangs more in a straight line without accenting the dreaded bulge. With my extra 10+ pandemic pounds, this was exactly what was needed! The fabric is soft and substantial - not at all thin or see-through - and has enough stretch to be comfortable and allow a good fit in several sizes, depending on how tight or loose a top you prefer, flaws you wish to disguise, etc. It’s well-constructed and basic enough to be worn on its own (no jacket) with scarves or jewelry to dress it up a bit, plainer for more casual, and can be layered under sweaters, etc without lots of lumps or discomfort. Length is about mid to lower hip depending on your height and how you chose to size the top. Had I bought the size intended by TruFit, it would definitely have been mid-hip. Two sizes up and it was lower but still not bum-covering enough for leggings IMO. I was happy enough with it that I ordered 3 more.

UPDATE 4/14/23 The last two of these shirts that I have ordered are not the shirt I’ve loved. Both were black. The cotton is not nearly as soft, and feels rather scratchy, even after washing several times, and the hand feel is different, stiffer. I’m SO disappointed, but happy that I have a lot of back ups in my closet of my favorite all-time comfy shirt in the original fabrication. ORIGINAL POST I counted my collection -- I have a dozen of these shirts in all colors. Why? #1 -- sleeve length. The 3/4 sleeve is perfection. Hides what it needs to. IYKYK #2 -- garment length. I'm 5'9" & long in the waist, these shirts are long enough to cover my belly. #3 -- COMFORT, fabric is soft, stretch is perfect #4 -- they wear beautifully with NO PILLING. #5 -- they wash beautifully. My 1st purchase was 2 yrs ago, I wear one of the shirts almost every day (they're THAT comfortable), so they get washed. A lot. #6 -- fit is consistent, no matter the color. I wear XXL in these kinds of shirts (for non-cling) & this fit is as expected. After wash, I gently stretch the fabric (length & width) and dry until just damp then hang. Stretching definitely keeps the shirts in the shape that my body prefers (long and wide). I've forgotten them in the dryer, though, and they're fine, too. They're medium weight, and so too heavy for summer heat if you're outdoors, or have no A/C. But, perfection the other 9 months of the year in my part of the country.

Very nice. But wish the hems didn’t curl

First of all the reason I gave it 4 stars is due to the fit not being as in the listing pictures (loose fit) if you order your typical size so misleading. This is mentioned in many reviews but I decided to order in my size and go from there. I have decided to keep it though because it works for bottoms (shorts, pants, skirts) where a more form fitting top looks better, especially if pairing with a jacket for less bulk underneath. I tried on several outfits to make sure it will work with at least five of the bottoms I have struggled to pair with a top that looks right and this one works for me. I think I would have to go up at least two sizes (maybe more) to get the look in the pictures but sticking to your normal size (or maybe up one size if you have more "muffin top" to hide) works for a more fitted look. The weight and flexibility of the fabric is perfect for this.

I like Hanes products because they never disappoint. This top is very comfortable and looks good on me. I wear it as a casual top when going out.

Hey, i really like this "HANES" top. I ordered one in the light pink. It's a tad darker but still nice. I'm 185lbs & just over 5'6 & ordered a 2x. fits well & very comfortable ~ not see through. I wash everything by hand in cold water & hang to dry so there's no shrinkage. (i use febreeze spray to iron out any wrinkles when i wear an item) You never really know if it's the old Hanes brand that we're used to buying in a store... On Amaz. it always seems like you never get what you see & the fabric sux now... (hard to find cotton anymore) the sizing is always what we read buying a "hanes" product & always arrives quick & on time. Good luck
