Troyer's Birds' Paradise Wire Sparrow Trap

Works very well. We have so far trapped two male Euro Sparrows which were harassing our bluebirds in their boxes.

Catches larger birds.

Functions perfectly! We placed this by an established feeder to catch some invasive pest birds. It’s just as easy to release the native birds as it is to nab the target ones.

I kept finding the trap empty but the doors tripped closed! Then I realized chipmunks were getting in, then they’d lift the top to get out and the doors would close behind them! Not useful if you have chipmunks, but worked great until they showed up!

Put it out the first day and caught 6 sparrows - it works like magic! I used finch seed and put it on saw horses, kept having to reload because it works so effectively.

Excellent product. I use white bread mainly as House Sparrows love it and most other species of birds don't. Works the best once you catch the first one. They seem to attract one another.

Haven't caught a sparrow yet

Works great - once you catch on sparrow it will draw in more. Reset trap every time the caught sparrow moves to center compartment. I’ve caught 6 or more on days when you can monitor and reset. Best bait is another live sparrow
