Update: The sounbar works, and really well. It even has a built in EQ to make it sound more lively. The suboofer is nice but not tight sounding, just ok as it feels and looks cheap. I wish the whole system was more flexible in that you can add a different subwoofer that is wired. Otherwise it's decent for the price.This appears to be a common Samsung issue with their sound bars. The HDMI ARC worked for a week on a new Samsung TV, then all of a sudden stopped and the TV can't detect the bar. Tried to change the cable and same results. Connected with a optical cable and now it works perfectly. CEC is not all it's cracked up to be apparently.

I bought this soundbar before I had read a lot of negative reviews on it. It's been working very well for the first week and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.Sound Quality: it's very good. Detailed highs and excellent midrange, bass is boomy and a little overpowering but easy to adjust with tone control.Build Quality: very well made and feels solid.My only gripe is that sometimes powering soundbar and tv on, the soundbar switches from hdmi to DIN. I don't know what is causing this, it doesn't happen all the time but is annoying.My research found that a lot of problems people are having are resolved with a firmware update. I haven't updated mine yet but may soon.

We like the Q700B, it has a nice full sound and pairs well with our 2020 Samsung UHD TV. It has better bass than I expected. It really shines when streaming music from my phone, the TV sound is very good as well, but only as good as your TV signal. Dialog is clearer than the TV speakers. The soundbar turns on automatically when the TV is turned on, and also when you connect via Bluetooth.This was my original 1-star review on the Q600B that I returned. ..... It was easy enough to install but thought it should sound better so dug in and figured out that the firmware is outdated and it needs a firmware update. No problem right? After multiple failed attempts to get the update to work I spent several hours with two different Samsung customer service people only to finally discover that I can't do the update on my MacBook computer. Samsung has chosen not to offer the file in a Zip format that works with Mac!! Soooo, not being one to give up easily I tried on two different Windows PCs to unpack Samsung's ".BIN" file. I followed Samsung's instructions precisely and never got the Windows PC to unpack the compressed update file. I reformatted the thumb drive to several different formats and nothing worked. It shouldn't be this hard!! I'm returning this one.

I was expecting a lot from this unit. It delivers!!! Very nice sound hooked to my f6000 Samsung TV. Full lifelike sound with rich base and room filling sound. Really does a good job of simulating a theater experience. Much easier to understand dialogue compared to the tv alone. The Q-symphony function works flawlessly. I hooked up using the ARC-HDMI hookup and all I had to do is turn everything on, select proper mode on the tv and sound bar it worked without having to pair anything or using complicated hookups. Very satisfied

I purchased this item - HW-Q600B on Jan-27, 2023 for $397.99. We used the soundbar up to July 20, 2025 (approx 2-1/2 years). On July 21, 2025 the soundbar would not power on. There was no change in set up, no electrical storms, nothing. I communicated with 3 different people at Samsung going through their troubleshooting process on my own and with Samsung at least twice. Samsung offered to repair the soundbar if I paid $290.00 up front for the repair (73% of the original purchase price + my shipping cost). I have expressed my displeasure to Samsung but of course there is no response to this. I bought the soundbar for the Q-Symphony feature with a new Samsung TV. I didn't find any significant benefit to the Q-Symphony feature. If you have any Samsung product, I would recommend that you turn off any automatic update setting. Google Samsung automatic update failures. I will not be purchasing any Samsung product in the future.

As usual... Samsung... absolutely fantastic sound. I have one on my 75' Samsung TV and bought this one for my Gaming PC. Phenomenal base and surround sound! I bought an actual 5.1 surround sound bar previous to this and replaced it with this Samsung.... this Samsung one is not 5.1 but has better surround sound 5.1 virtual than the actual one i purchased. this one is great!

I had a Sonos sound bar that I loved. Unfortunately, my toddler knocked it down and the optical input broke and will no longer connect to my tv. I didn’t want to spend another thousand dollars on a sound bar so I purchased a cheaper option from target. A Lg sound bar and sub and was extremely disappointed with the sound quality. I appreciated my Sonos sound bar so much more after that purchase. Needless to say, I returned it and started my research on another option. I found the Samsung sound bar and did some homework before dishing out anymore money. After being pleased with the YouTube reviews I purchased it and I’m not disappointed. The sound quality is great. You couldn’t get more bang for your buck than this system. Sub sounds great. The voice enhancement setting is great. Clear crisp sound. You won’t be disappointed.

I'm not a big sound guy and generally don't put a lot of thought into speaker systems but I didn't like the sound coming from my new TV. I started doing some research and found this was a common complaint due to how thin TVs have become leaving no room for speakers. I thought they were expensive but I went ahead and purchased this soundbar and I have to say that the sound is amazing. I can't imagine what you would get from a high end set because with this lower end sound bar and the Q-Symphony function on the Samsung my dog goes to other rooms trying to find the source of noises coming from the TV. It simulates surround systems very well and I can't imagine not having it now!

How have I been without a soundbar all this time? I'm the type of person that has to have the subtitles on because the sound effects on the TV are too loud and the voices are too quiet... Not anymore! I now hear with clarity and love the fact you can turn down boomy sound effects. I accidentally turned off the sound bar so the original audio from the TV came through and I was shocked at the difference! Where have you been all by life!

I didn’t realize that the soundbar was “reconditioned” by Samsung. This explains the significant price difference to other sites selling new product. I needed to read more carefully. Having said that, Sound quality is good on Disney and Netflix but Voice is still unclear and too soft on most Prime video. I’ve come to believe it’s a problem on the Prime side audio signals.Overall, having three Channels with the height feature is worthwhile.
