I’m recovering from a Copeland-Hemiarthroplasty operation to my right shoulder and am now slowly recovering with the excellent aid of our hospital physiotherapists. As well as doing planned exercises at home they advised me that cold compression will certainly help me and it certainly does! I was even told that a bag of peas would work as well as anything! For such a reasonable price I’ve purchased this shoulder ice pack (which is extremely well made and packaged) but have cut the straps off so that l can just use it without bother several times a day, just by resting it on my shoulder as l relax playing music, watching tv etc.

This product does help reduce the inflammation around the shoulder but obviously only in the short term. The strap needs to be stronger to hold it firmly in place. As it is only a very poor hold on your shoulder. Rest and recovery is the most effective way to heal this type of injury

I deducted stars since, unless you have wide shoulders, it struggles to mould to you and keeps falling off, and the bag to put it in when in the fridge or freezer to prevent any food from stinking on it is far too small unless you fold it and its now falling apartRegarding does it work everyone's body is different this may or not help your pain, maybe pain a bag of peas.
