We live in a remote area and our groomer moved. I had to buy supplies and learn how to bathe and groom our dogs (90 lbs and 10 lbs). My aunt who is a groomer in a big city and has been grooming for 40 years recommended this to me.Works great!! I use to when giving our 90 lb short hair dog a bath. I go in a circler motion, gets out lots of loose hair. He has anxiety and doesn't like new things. Heseems to really like this, as it seems to also massage him too.Easy to clean, very durable. Used it several times now.Not sure how it would be on a long haired dog, I would assume the long hair would get tangled in the rubber teeth, but I can't really comment on long hair dogs.On our small 10 lb dog...I have not used it on her. She is very small and I would feel like I would hurt her not having grooming experience myself/ not realizing the pressure i would apply. So I just use my hands when bathing her.But works great on a 90 lb short hair lab.

My dog has 3 layers of fur. It is so hard to get down to her skin to clean and scrub her skin. This makes washing her easier! It’s not easy to get the wet fur out of the brush. I let it dry over night then the hair comes right out.

After our Aussies had to be deeply dematted this was recommended to help their fur regrow. It was embarrassing but this truly helped! After their guard hairs returned we did not use this daily but is still useful in a bath situation to help get shampoo deep into their double coats.

I have a pitbull with white hair that gets EVERYWHERE and this brush is the only one that actually works to de-shed him! It's brushes out so much loose hair that I don't have nearly as much on my clothes and furniture. I use it when bathing my dogs as well. It can be pretty difficult to clean, but worth the effort!Just make sure to keep it out of reach of your dog when you're not using because it doubles as a great chew toy....

I have had three of these type dog hair getters. With this one the whole unit is a bit stiff where as the last one i had was softer and more flexible. It took my dog a few weeks to get used to it.
