Haven't tested the other cable yet but I'm sure it will be the same. When testing sas drives, they will most likely not spin up without a controller. Mine didn't, so I was a bit concerned, however it works perfect now. Update 5 months later: One of the cables working inconsistently, likely due to excessive mechanical stress. Swapped the cables with the other from the pack, works fine again.
