This is a really good bookshelf. It is sturdy and an attractive color. The unusual design looks great and is not at all an odd thing to see in your house. And as Goldilocks would say, it's not too big and not too little. It's just right. We have this on a small side table near our entrance door. It easily holds quite a number of books of various sizes and is never in danger of tipping over from the weight. It is a good addition for us to use for library books we check out so they have their own "place" in the house and don't get mixed in with our own books.

I have admired the design for a while now, and just purchased it for my work office. It requires assembly and close attention to the instructions (diagrams), but was not too difficult. Overall, I really love it.

The first box i received there were 2 holes not fully drilled, and on one other board the hole was drilled on the wrong side of the board so i couldn't assemble. I don't have a drill so i rely on these predrilled flat pack furniture items.I contacted amazon to organize a replacement and a new package arrived within about 18 hours. This one was able to be quickly and easily assembled.Now that it's built, I'm very happy and it is as advertised. It seems to be holding up the weight of the books in a way that seems stable, and i appreciate the option to mount against the wall for safety if needed.Some of the screws didn't feel like they were able to be tightened enough (i recognize that could be on me though), but the quality of the wood is nice and it looks great!

Instructions were easy to follow. Definitely utilize the advice to half-tighten the screws. I do wish they had an unfinished option, so you could fill the cracks with a putty and paint over it to look nicer. I only had 2 areas that really triggered my ocd tendencies; the back plates have a slight gap and where the bottom plate meets the back plate also has a gap. I wasn't able to successfully adjust them to fully eliminate the gaps.

I really wanted to like this — it was supposed to be a cute nightstand bookshelf for my kids. Unfortunately, there are not enough words to describe how bad this product is! I started over several times, but nothing lines up the way it should. The parts just don’t stay together, and the whole thing feels like it will collapse at any moment.The instructions do explain how it’s supposed to go together, but in reality it’s a mess. The back cover doesn’t “click” in at all like it shows in the pictures, and nothing actually holds the way it should. Between the flimsy materials, terrible fit, and misleading instructions, this was hands down the worst assembly experience I’ve ever had. I boxed it back up and I am returning it. Don’t waste your time or money on this one.

Bought this shelf for my fireplace mantle. The shelf went together easily, just had to redo it as I didn’t see the holes needed to face the back to mount to the back piece. Step 1, start with piece d and face the holes to the back.I currently have the hardcovers for HP series & book “8” displayed. Shelf is holding strong and happy to have these on display!

Everything was fine until the last two steps of assembly. The base board and the backing board(s) had pre-drilled holes that did not line up with the holes in the shelf boards. This made screwing in the screws exceedingly difficult for me, a relatively healthy adult. I could see this being extremely hard or even impossible for an older person or someone who lacks arm and upper body strength. And not everyone has or can afford a drill. Just something to keep in mind. Also, there are sticker labels for each board and those suckers will not come off. I don't want to destroy the wood by using a blade or Goo Gone so I've ordered some of those plastic "blade" scrapers just to get the stickers off.That said, it's as pictured and described otherwise and I'm generally happy with it.
