Does this mix and taste well with water?

Absolutely that is all I mix it with ( alkaline water for extra electrolytes). But plain water is good too. Mixes very easily. I use a blender or shaker cup.

i see some people use this for cooking - where do you get the recipes for protein muffins, pancakes, etc. with this powder?

Metabolic Nutrition makes the best protein hands down. I’ve tried tons of brands over the years. I actually have a metabolic nutrition cookbook I got years ago when vitamin shoppe used to sell their protein, I just googled it and it’s for sale on eBay. Just google metabolic nutrition cookbook. Bodybuilding.com has a lot of protein recipes too. Hope this helps!

How is the Chocolate Cake flavor? Which flavor did you like most?

The chocolate cake is one of the better chocolate proteins, but it doesn't taste like cake. I prefer the strawberry over the chocolate, but both are good. I mix them with Vanilla CarbMaster milk (Kroger).
