I purchased these not as a diuretic but as a preventative for end-of-day swelling after consuming too much salt, and they work if I take it early enough. I do not find myself urinating more frequently, so I'd say it probably doesn't make a good diuretic. But at night my ring is not so tight I need to take it off, and my legs/ankles/feet don't have the puffiness/pain feeling like you just have to get your shoes and socks off right now! I know when I don't take it. Works for me (a woman) but not for my husband who has swelling due to circulatory issues.
