***THREE year update*** lol, why I am so committed to reviewing this mat? Who knows. Nonetheless, it's still going strong. It has lived though two cats and a child from baby to almost 4 years old. It sees heavy daily activity as its in our main living room. It maybe has one or two tiny holes in it from mistreatment and they don't spread, so as long as you don't do anything out of the ordinary to this mat, it's going to serve you well. One thing I did learn though is you cannot use a magic eraser on it. It takes the color off. Live, ya learn. This mat is great! **One year update**: we are still loving this mat. It has held up incredibly well. It's so easy to wipe down. Our now toddler plays on it every day. And even with guests sometimes walking on it with shoes it's still perfectly fine. Highly recommend. It is worth the investment. So far we love this mat. I chose it because it is nontoxic and safe for baby to play on. It gives me peace of mind to know her little hands, face, and mouth aren't touching all over harmful chemicals. Its also nice because we have two cats so any cat hair is easy to wipe off of this, as opposed to a carpet or rug. I was worried that the cats would think it was fun to claw this mat (my cats would totally do that) but they don't seem interested in it at all. Im happy with the quality and the design of this mat. If it holds up for a while and we need another, I would certainly buy again in the future.

This play mat has exceeded our expectations in almost every way. The foam has a compression structure that is really soft - and makes for a really comfortable play surface for our little one. She'll roll back and forth on the mat and have an absolute ball. Furthermore - in a world with baby play mats filled with tons of chemicals (and horrifically ugly designs) it's refreshing to find a reasonably priced mat that was this high of quality. Zero odor or any hint of smell. The foam almost has a 'rubbery' vibe to it - it looks like it might have air cushions in the structure of the foam, not sure about that. We have ours on hardwood floors - and have found that it's extremely soft and suitable for our baby to roll and play on. It lays flat even despite being rolled up in the shipping box. I like that I can roll it up when not in use, but that it doesn't have much 'memory' when it comes to rolling it flat again. The design is very high resolution - it's a very beautiful mat and is of good production quality. Unlike some of the other baby purchases we've made, we have zero regrets about this mat. I really cannot overstate just how surprised how good of a product it is.

I searched long and hard for a durable play mat that my son can play on that was also stylish, waterproof, and easy to clean. I came across this mat on Amazon, and I could tell from the pictures that this was exactly that. The price may be a bit more than those cheap foam mats that you puzzle together; but I promise it is worth every penny. The print doesn’t rub off when cleaned. I use a natural cleaner on the mat at least once a week...but usually warm water and a wet cloth will do the trick. It is comfortable enough for me to lay and play on as well. Sometimes, I’ll work out on it too while the babe is busy playing with his toys. The size is good for a small play area. (I am using the baby care gate, also sold by Amazon. However, I purchased mine from Bed Bath and Beyond for 20% off. Amazon was surprisingly more expensive) . One play-mat is great for a baby that is rolling around for now. I plan to purchase more of these mats to extend my sons play area as he grows. I do not let my cat play on this mat. Yea it is durable, but if you do not keep your pets nails trimmed, it could see it might be an issue with scratches and whatnot. Hmmm...I think that is about it! OH! And if you are putting the mat down on a hard surface, it will slide. I purchased that foam non slip stuff people use for rugs and it is enough to keep it from slipping. Great purchase. Great customer service!

I started out with one of those traditional foam puzzle piece playmats for my baby that you find by the masses. Although it was cute, the design began to come off within only about a month’s time. I eventually decided to replace it with one that was a bit pricier and a different brand, until I saw some reviewers say that they too had designs that rubbed off. Then somehow I stumbled upon an article on non-toxic playmats and heard about Comfort Design. I loved the idea of a mat that wasn’t screaming baby, instead having a neutral, stylish design. This was a plus because the mat would be going in our living room, not in a playroom. I admit I was a bit hesitant to make such a big purchase sight unseen, as I am a very visual person and like to see things in the flesh before I buy them. But I could not have been happier with the look of the mat once it arrived. I love how much larger it is than what I had before. My baby has so much more room to play. The mat feels so absolutely cushiony on my knees and my bare feet, and it seems to always retain a coolness which I am sure that I will appreciate in the warmer months ahead. I will state that it is a bit slippery for babies who are new to crawling/standing, but if they are barefooted (which my son is all the time for sensory play) and bare-kneed then it really isn’t an issue. Ever since receiving this new mat I have been so much happier with our play space. I like that it is cushiony, durable, non-toxic, the design won’t rub off, and it is reversible (has the same design on the other side, but in a different color tone). My only complaint is that they need to offer design options on Amazon, instead of just one! However, I did luck out since the one that I wanted was the one that was sold on Amazon. Also, I wish they made these mats in multiple sizes because in the future I would consider purchasing another if we move in to a larger space. I can see using them in a children’s room, porch, basement, laundry room, kitchen, etc., even if just for foot comfort while doing daunting household chores! The last thing that I would like to add is that although I knew that I was going to purchase my Comfort Design mat through Amazon, to qualify for the free shipping and returns, I did have a few questions and contacted the company itself via their website. The customer service rep was so incredibly helpful, thorough, and speedy at replying, and even made some helpful suggestions. That type of service and care is hard to find anywhere these days, and certainly is refreshing to their fellow customer!

As a new mom, I’m in the over-researching, over-protective & over-analytical-ingredient-reading phase. I’m trying out this minimal parenting thing and this mat fits all my needs. I love and prefer multifunctional furniture, appliances- pretty much everything! I mean, who doesn’t love something that is beautiful AND functional (Ask me about my ABSOLUTE HATE for decorative pillows)?? Anyway, I have a 9 month old baby and this her crawling mat (zoom in to see crumbs and postpartum hair in the picture!) This mat was PERFECT for our family. It looks great, EASY to clean, non-toxic, & we could even use it for exercise (pshh)! I love the design and how soft the mat is. If I only had one wish about this mat though, I think it would be awesome if the company offered perhaps a thicker mat. These particular mats are 1/2in thick, and it would do great in a living or even a dining room but a 1 or 1.5 inch one would be optimal for exercise in my opinion. Anyway two thumbs up from this mom!

I purchased this mat to replace a shag carpet because my toddler has asthma and allergies. I was very nervous because I tried another thicker mat from different brand and it didn't work out (too thick, too big). By the way, that mat was waaaay pricier. This mat is EVERYTHING! It is pretty, comfortable, easy to clean, durable, and a wonderful substitute for those of us who can't live with carpets/rugs ( FYI...I purchased the gray color). I was on FaceTime the other night and my dad said "why did you buy another carpet...I thought that wasn't an option". I said "it's not a carpet, but look how it fooled you huh?". That's how cool this mat is. I think that it's ABSOLUTELY worth the price, and I plan to buy another one for my kid's room. I see that Amazon has a an identical mat by a different manufacturer which is about 40 bucks cheaper. Don't bother--that other mat is made from a different material which is not good for kiddos with upper respiratory issues. This mat is THE WAY TO GO. True it's a little more expensive but it's important to avoid questionable materials if at all possible. Bottom line: my kid plays on it, lays on it, and jumps around on it. It's not noise proof so the neighbors do hear those little feet, but the sound is definitely less.

I am so pleased by this play mat. I rarely give 5 stars, as a matter of fact I barely leave reviews.. this is an amazing item for your toddler or/ and infant. For me it is a must if you have children. The mat is soft, safe, lightweight, kid friendly and very chic. I wanted a mat that could be moved easily from living room to bedroom. I wanted a mat with pattern that was not only for kids but for both parents and children. The mat is also perfect size, not to small or large. To be honest this is one of the best item I ever bought for my boys. They love to hang around, playing, rolling their cars, tummy time. I would definitely recommend this conformable and very chic mat. The only thing is that the mat was slippery on my oakwood floor and I have expressed my concern via email to the company customer service. I was amazed by their rapidity and reactivity to address my issue by either offering me full refund or an additional discount to get an anti slip tape which was easily found on BBY for $10. I did not want to return it, the mat was so cute et soft and most importantly withouth chemicals materials... This item is definitely worth his five stars.

This is a great mat - arrived quickly, easy to unpack and unroll. It's soft, easy to clean when the baby spits up on it, and looks brand new even after a few weeks of use. Only reason for giving it 4 stars rather than 5 is most of the photos make it look as if it's grey on white but in reality the lighter tone is also gray, which makes the mat look less stylish. Functionality is perfect, so if you don't mind this color difference, go for it!
