Effective Nail Finder
Had some work done by a contractor. Their work space was basically my backyard (almost all grass). Ended up finding tons of nails and staples. Decided to pick up this tool. The sweeper is very effective as long as you know it won't be 100%. Magnet isn't the strongest - if the nails are in a dip in the ground or held down (tangled in grass, clumps of dirt sticking to it, etc.), this will not pick up on it. Here are some tips I used to improve the effectiveness. 1. Use this as soon as possible. I continued my search after a snowy winter. Lot of nails sunk into the dirt due to wet dirt and snow pushing nails down. 2. Cut the grass with a string trimmer. Nails tangled up in tall grass won't get pulled out. Also the grass lifts up the sweeper, weakening the magnetic pull. 3. Run a rake/dethatcher over the area to help pull them out of tufts of grass or out of dirt. 4. Walk the sweeper in all different angles (i.e. east to west, north to south, at angles, etc.) 5. Run it back and forth. This helps jiggle some free. 6. If you hear a click, look in the area under it, the nail might be stuck on one end and hitting the sweeper on the loose end. 7. Multiple passes. I've probably covered the whole area 20 times already and still finding some. Although I haven't tried any other similar products, I am satisfied with this.

Does a decent job
Once I put the handle in the CORRECT way (from the top side and not from the bottom side), it did a decent job and was not wobbly. It got a little [RC helicopter] washer and screw off the floor. I took the wheels off and went outside and did the back yard. It picked up a bunch of stuff (but not the heli part I was searching for). I put the wheels back on and re-did the yard...no more stuff came up. But...the wheels started getting loose: they had some locktite on them, and I put some Duco Cement in its place...and the wheels are staying put. They cannot be tightened down completely or they freeze. Tighten and then back off about 1/4 turn and all should be well.

Cheap Magnet Sweeper
Had roofing/gutter replacement done and kept finding staples and nails on my sidewal/driveway/lawn after. Grabbed this because of the LOW PRICE. Easy to use and telescoping handle extends to a good length. Note - This tool is more intended for a garage or shop use with the small wheels, as it has trouble over grass at times. (LOOKUP MAGNET RAKE for LAWNS) Anyways, after several "Sweeps" of my lawn, the handle kept coming loose and needed to be retightened to the magnet/wheeled section. Again, this sweeper IS NOT intended for lawns/grass really , but hey, it was cheap and did the job - checkout the pics of what was it actually picked up. Glad I used this BEFORE I mowed the lawn!

Does an Amazong job for the price!
Buy it. Just buy it. You could spend $60 or $100 buying a bigger one but why? This thing works great. My backyard is all gravel and I pick up whatever I see whenever I see it because I have dogs and 2 trailers in the backyard. We still go nails in our tires almost every time we drive back there. This thing picked up so much crap I couldn't even see with every pass. I could open up a hardware store with what this thing found in my backyard. It rolls through gravel easily. My only complaints is it is a little short and could use some small braces where the handle attaches. I am 6'4" and I have to bend over just a little. The handle just screws right in and while it didn't break I could see it breaking with some rough terrain and repeated use but.... for $20 what more could you ask? The pictures show what this thing picked up in only half of my backyard. It isn't very wide but I knew that. Still it only took me about 45 minutes to do half my backyard and I am on a half acre lot.

Magnet is good, handle is not
The magnet picks up all sorts of metal object and works great. The handle needs some major improvements. The handle comes in two pieces and is held in place with a winged bolt. It's made to telescope down for transport but you really don't need to do that once you have to assembled. The bolt that is attached to the end of the handle is crimped in and it comes loose after you use it. I had to band it with a hammer to keep the bolt from turning while using it. The wheels bolts will start to back off if you use it alot. I recommend putting some lock-tite on them to keep that from happening. I did notice that when after you pick up something and you want to pick it off the magnet your hand will want to slide up the handle to make it easy to get to. Your hand will slide right into the winged bolt where the handle comes together. If they would have made the handle where they screw together that would be great.

Must have farm tool
Perfect for picking up metal in our workshop and at the horse barn. Runaway nuts, bolts, washer, etc are found. Farriers nails and tiny metal shavings are easily captured. Lightweight and rolls smoothly even over uneven gravel.

Save your tires from being popped!
I really like my garage floors but it’s hard to see nails that have fallen after a few of my projects. This helped me find all the nails that fell and even picked up the metal shavings from a pipe I cut with a hack saw. Overall great product that does a great job at a great price. P.s. The handle’s cap kept falling off so I super glued it.

Stong magnet picks items up with ease
Great tool to keep around the shop. I'm 6 ft tall and handle length is at a perfect length that I do not need to bend over to use. Has an eyelet on the end of handle makes it easy to hang for storage. Is perfect tool for when you drop that box of nails. It pics them up with ease. With its smooth surface makes it easy to clean and is durable and designed at the perfect height to pick up any metallic of your flooring. Seems it's durability will make the product last for many years

Good value, magnets strong enough to pick up a wrench but great for roofing nails on a gravel driveway. I thought I had cleared a driveway; area 20 X12', by eye of roofing nails. This unit "found" 16 more. Wheels make it easy to use and help keep a search pattern. Highly recommend.
