TP-Link 2K Pan Tilt Security Camera for Baby Monitor, Dog Camera w/Motion Detection, 2-Way Audio Siren, Night Vision, Cloud &SD Card Storage (Up to 256 GB), Works with Alexa & Google Home (C210)

I currently own four of these Tapo TP-Link 2K Pan & Tilt cameras, and they have all worked great. I mainly use them to monitor my pets while I'm away from home, and the video quality is excellent. The pan and tilt functions let me check different areas of the room, so I never miss what they're up to. I also like that I don't have to pay for cloud storage. I use regular microSD cards in each camera, and they record reliably with plenty of storage for my needs. Setup was simple, the app is easy to use, and the cameras have been dependable. If you're looking for an affordable indoor security camera or a pet monitor, I highly recommend these.

It's an amazing camera. It works smoothly. The quality is great! You can access it from anywhere once you set it up. The value for the money is perfect. It's compatible with my phone and works great in my home. You can easily adjust the camera. Go for it and get it right away, if you can!

These Tapo Security Cams have far surpassed my expectations! Home security is very important for our family and these cams allow us to confidently feels safeguarded to identify any threat which may attempt to adversely affect my family's safety. The cams have worked seamlessly and are reliable and durable. Great value for the money spent. The cams are wired so they are continuous monitoring and can be programmed to automate and perform various security actions to provide a safe environment. The black color scheme and compact size of the cams make them inconspicuous especially when monitoring at night! We love these cams! I would recommend these security cams! Ease of use and easy to set up very helpful instructions you don't merely get left hanging with a device you can't use. Tapo, is very helpful too and will get back to you expeditiously whether you require contacting them.

Tapo Camera/Monitoring System Certainly a fairly economical video monitoring system. We made 2 purchases initially then added another a few weeks later and 1 more for a total of 4 covering 4 different areas/rooms. 3x was 1080HD and 1x was 2k version. It’s been a few months of daily usage and monitoring, for the most part they have been quite beneficial but not without some shortcomings. Below are some pros and cons: PROS: Video: High enough quality for 1080HD, the 2k version does add a bit of extra clarity but at a distance greater than 25 feet it’s only slightly noticeable. Pan/Tilt: It’s a pretty nice feature to have, although a bit of a limitation for the tilt part when it’s standing upright; when it’s mounted on say the ceiling, it offers better range for the tilt. Motion Detection & Tracking: both are nice features to have to trigger the camera, the tracking appears to do a good job in following the movements. Cloud or physical SD card storage: good to have both options available but given our needs a few 128GB and 256GB SD cards worked Modes: day mode, night mode and auto mode settings can be easily toggled depending on the time of day and lighting for better video clarity. In addition, the camera has a built in night vision to aid in video capture during dim lighting. Audio: is sufficient and clear enough during recording and live 2-way Ecosystem: Tapo ecosystem/app isn’t too bad, since we have multiple cameras it’s one Tapo app and all the videos/cameras can be streamed/stored in 1 app and displayed 1 screen at a time or split screens in 2s,3s,4s etc. CONS: One of the features that can be improved is the 2 minute pause. During this time, a note will be prompted “you have viewed the live video for 2 minutes without any operation. continue the viewing? “. We find this feature to be a bit of a nuisance especially if one is looking for a continual visual feed. Video capture: the camera appears to have a sleep mode so there may be a bit of a delay before recording begins, thus sometimes some footages aren’t fully captured, sometimes a few seconds are noticeably missing if not longer; at times we also notice with distances greater than 25 feet, footages aren’t always captured or only partially captured. It’s probably not the cameras fault but if there a bit of a weaker WiFi signal, Interference or dead spot then the monitoring system may not sync with the Tapo camera so no video can be seen. We find the kitchen area next to all the appliances may be causing some interference. During this temporary “outage” the (camera) recording seems to be working just not able to view/monitor. Troubleshooting is as simple as getting closer to the camera with the mobile device, restarting the app or WiFi or restarting the Tapo camera by pulling and replugging it. UPDATE: This is an update, recently Feb. 2026, we added another indoor 2k version taking the indoor camera up to 5 covering 5 different zones/rooms. I think the camera can struggle to capture full footages consistently when the lighting isn’t sufficient especially when it’s beyond 25+feet away. We wanted to test this against the indoor/outdoor hybrid 1080HD version so we made another purchase for this ~review and summary on the hybrid segment.

I’m genuinely impressed with the Tapo 2K security camera for the price. The 2K video quality is sharp enough to clearly see faces, details, and activity, even when compared with much more expensive cameras. Night vision is also surprisingly good, and the motion detection has been reliable without constantly blowing up my phone with useless alerts. Setup was quick and straightforward, and the app is easy to navigate. I especially like being able to check the camera remotely and get notifications when something is detected. For the money, this camera is hard to beat. If you want solid image quality, dependable motion detection, and an easy to use app without spending a fortune on a security system, the Tapo 2K is a great option. Definitely worth the money.

I love this camera!! I bought this because we have some family friends (kids/toddlers) who have been fighting a lot. I want to be able to keep an eye on everything even when we (the parents) retreat to another room while the kids play. I have only put one of these up (okay, I made my husband do it. Same difference. lol). I have it in the living room where the kids usually play. I absolutely love this camera! The picture is clear and it was sooooo easy to set up! We had it up and running in minutes. It comes with helpful guide stickers that make mounting it on the wall super easy (slap the sticker on the wall and it shows you exactly where to drill...note: make sure the line is horizontal. We accidentally did it vertically and had wonderful views of the ceiling.). Also, it comes with the screws and anchors for installation! The night vision is clearer than I expected and the alerts are pretty neat. They can tell you when someone is obstructing or messing with the camera. There's even a motion sensor mode, but I had to turn that off due to the ceiling fan. If you have a ceiling fan that you keep on...that's what the camera will focus on when people aren't making big movements. So I found it easier to just set the camera at one viewpoint. Speaking of viewpoints...adjusting the camera is super simple in the app. And I love the feature where you can program in a few preset viewpoints. Adjusting the camera is easy, but a little laggy, so having those angles I want already pre-programmed makes it easy to see the different spots the kids like to play in. I am also impressed with the clarity of the audio. You can use the "Talk" function, which is like a walkie talkie where you can just speak and when you let go of the button you can hear the other person again; or you can use the little phone icon which allows you to talk *and* hear at the same time. You don't have to shout on either end to be heard clearly. There's also a "privacy mode" so you can shut off the camera. I like that option because we are thinking of mounting it in my kid's room for when the other kids play up in her room....but I want her to understand that it isn't to violate her privacy and that she can turn it off when they aren't there. I have also installed the app across three devices to monitor the same camera and it works perfectly on all three. One on mine, my husband's, and my kid's ipad. It was so easy! Just use the same Login on all devices and now everyone can access it. I have an SD card on order so I can record, so I can't comment on that yet, but I will say that there the company provides a very useful list that tells you exactly which SD cards are compatible with the cameras. I will admit when I saw the price of thise camera, I was skeptical about the quality, but I decided to give it a try...and I'm so glad I did! I have only had one camera up for about a week, but the whole family has been impressed with it. I will post if there are any issues in the future, so if there are no updates...it's functioning fine! I am so impressed I'm planning on gifting a set of these to a friend with small kids to keep an eye on! I highly recommend these cameras!

I cannot say enough about this security camera. I am so impressed and satisfied that I am now buying the outdoor units. My son is now also buying for his home. This is a quality camera, video is great, sound is great, and the fact that you have the pan and tilt view, incredible. The cost is reasonable, love the SD card option and better yet NO forced subscription like some cameras, you actually get the choice… I had a bit of trouble connecting the second unit, but patience and effort and it connected in a few extra minutes… the app is great, and sharing with family, nice touch… So happy!!!!! Ps.. not doing pics because I barely found time to do the review..

Great cameras, night vision and motion detection work perfectly. App is easy to use, lots of features are free. Seamless connection to wifi.

I purchased this Tapo C210 in “Used - Good” condition from Amazon, and I’m very happy with my purchase. Everything was included in the package, and the camera only had minimal scratches, which are not a concern at all. The image quality is fantastic, and it works great for keeping an eye on our pet cats. Setup was easy, and since I’m already using the TP-Link ecosystem, adding this camera to my existing devices was simple and convenient. Overall, I have no regrets buying this product. Getting it through Amazon’s “Used - Good” option made it an even better deal, and I’m very satisfied with the quality, performance, and value I received.
