A lovely warm gray ink
I've been using this for over a year now, for times when I don't want to write with color, but also don't want to write with black ink. It's a very well-behaved fountain pen ink; it has never clogged any of my fountain pens, writes wetly (which I like), and isn't too fancy. It has no sheen that I could detect, but that's pretty normal for grey inks.I have no idea how long it takes to dry because I've never tested it that way, nor have I any idea how water resistant it is (though most greys do seem to be somewhat water resistant even though they're not formulated for that specifically; this one may be, too).Final impression: this is a high quality ink, and priced well for my budget, here. In fact, every color that I've sampled from this line of inks are very high quality, and some have quite an astonishing sheen (I'm looking at you, Momiji & Yama Budo). I think this is my new favorite line of inks, and have already begun buying different colors.

Visibility improves with larger nib size
I’ve tested fourteen inks this month, and this is my favorite for two reasons. One, the pen glides across the page because the flow is so smooth. Two, the warm color drew me to this product; it is far less brash than black or blue. It is elegant for correspondence. If you are interested in using this ink, consider a larger nib or a broad nib. I decided to use laser copy paper and a larger nib, so it would not feather. If you use a relatively absorbent paper the text will be darker and you might have a hint of feathering. I attach an image so you can see for yourself.UPDATE: I have switched to Rhodia paper because it feathers less.-JS

This is a great ink for sketching with a dip or fountain pen
This is a great ink for sketching with a dip or fountain pen, not as harsh as a black. If allowed to dry for a few minutes, it even stands up pretty well to watercolor. If you wet it with a brush right away, heavier coverage and lines will feather out with a pinkish brown halo. Light lines will just fade to a lighter grey. For regular writing it is a nice readable grey.

Lovely Soft Grey
This as with all pilot iroshizuku inks is lovely. I really appreciate the soft grey color, I wanted something different but not too boring for my study notes, this fit the bill perfectly. Very smooth and medium to dry on the paper, I love it. I will definitely be purchasing all of the iroshizuku inks so far I have 7 love them all equally. This beautiful soft grey was everything I expected. Very pleased with my purchase. For the record, I used it in my hobonichi weeks which is tomoe river paper, no bleed though and minimal ghosting, Love it.

Great quality ink, accurate description of color
Excellent quality ink, consistent, I have been using it for years. Their colors are unique. The ink is not diluted unlike some other brands. Well packaged, it doesn’t leak. Definitely recommend it and will buy again.

love iroshizuku
Just the other inks in the iroshizuku series, it has a really awesome nice bottle and packaging as well as color. It is very smooth and gives great colour. It writes out a little paler then what it looks like in the bottle but that makes it a even better match for its name kiri-same. Because it is kind of pale, the strokes don't look as solid as using normal blue or black ink, but it makes it look like as if it a graduation of grey. Very fun and classy ink to use for daily writing. I think it'd make any special message look fancy too.

I would not buy another ink for my fountain pens.
Can't go wrong with Pilot ink. I have 9 different colors or shades of colors for various pens I own. Good quality, does not clot when I have a penI have not used for a few weeks or a month or so. It is all I buy for my pens.

High Quality Ink, Little Bit Lighter Than Advertised
It's a great ink and doesn't cause much issue with the regular notebook paper I write it on. It's lighter than what I imagined it would be. I would equate to the color of pencil lead which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I chose this color ink because I didn't want to use black ink on notebook paper. It works great. The flow is nice, and its consistent at a writing pace and darkens when you hold it on a single spot or trace over something you wrote.

It is a wetter ink that flows exceptionally well and displays great color even with an eastern fine / western EF ...
Grey inks are a bit of a challenge...they can be surprisingly complex or very plain and bland. The Iroshizuku ink is a premium ink and it certainly performs the part. It is a wetter ink that flows exceptionally well and displays great color even with an eastern fine / western EF nib. This grey is on the warmer end of the spectrum (red/purple undertones) and is in the same tint range as a graphite pencil. The bottle is thick glass and includes a nib well to assist with pen filling.Great product overall and I look forward to purchasing additional Iroshizuku inks in the future.

Nice ink. Lighter in colour than expected
Nice consistency and good drying time. It's better in pens that release the ink slowly in my opinion... wouldn't use in say a parker pen or any broader nib that a medium. The colour is similar to that of an HB pencil. Nice in theory but I should've gone darker.
