## Overview

The SCARPA Instinct VSR climbing shoes combine award-winning Vibram XS Grip 2 rubber with a sock-like, lightly asymmetrical fit tailored for lighter climbers. Designed to fit true to street shoe sizing due to its synthetic upper, these shoes offer superior toe hook coverage and a less stiff profile than their predecessor, making them ideal for sport climbing and bouldering on steep and technical routes.

## Description

A more supple version of our award-winning instinct vs, the instinct vsr features Vibram grip2 rubber and a more snug fit across the top of the forefoot, with the same form-fitting, sock-style fit and a lightly asymmetrical last that excels across the spectrum of hard climbing. Perfectly suited to lighter climbers.

Review: genuine, excellent service - great shoes! perfect fit
Review: Perfect climbing shoe - I’m beyond happy with these climbing shoes. They’re very comfortable and fit my foot perfectly (flat, slightly wide, and with a large heel). I wear a 10.5 in street shoes. I got these one full size down looking for a snug but bearable fit. I recommend going half or a full size down if you’re aiming for a perfect fit. I loved the heel — I think it’s perfect for me. I’ve compared them with the La Sportiva Solution (41.5), and I honestly feel like these are an improved version.

## Features

- EU Size: 40 – US Size: 8-8.5 Women/7-7.5 Men | Runs Small, Street Shoe Sizing Strongly Recommended
- Less Stiff, Same Stick | As the younger sibling of the Instinct VS, the VSR is suited to lighter climbers who found the original model to be a bit too stiff.
- Sizing Advice | While most climbers size down for a performance-oriented fit, most VSR-owners suggest sizing similar to your street shoe size or larger, especially since the synthetic upper doesn’t stretch much.
- Vibram XS Grip 2 Rubber | Ideal for any rock type and style, the XS Grip 2 rubber is both stiff and sticky, giving you the grip you need for steeper walls and overhanging boulders.
- Toe Rubber | A large patch of rubber on top gives you maximum coverage for toe hooks and bat hangs.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent high performance shoe
*by K***T on 16 May 2017*

Prior to the Scarpa Instinct VSR I used the La Sportiva Solutions for bouldering and sport climbing. I will start off by saying I bought these in the same euro size that I got my solutions in and they fit great. The fit actually feels similar to the Solution except that the toe box is a bit tighter and for some reason after about 10 minutes of wearing them there is the slightest bit of room in the heel. Most of the time I would say this could be an issue but it is not affecting me at all when using them. They are aggressive with great toe coverage and the heel is nice as well. As a bonus, these shoes are stellar looking. I get compliments all the time on them. Well done Scarpa. Sized 41 euro 8M US.
