It’s awesome made my wife’s trike so fun
Turned my wife’s trike into a really fun little bike. It was very easy to install and I don’t think I ever looked at the instructions other than to figure out the pedal assist crank install. (I super glued it as instructed) It took me about an hour start to finish. Seemed to take more time to get all the tools out. Kit seems very nice quality better than some I have seen. I didn’t use the tire in the kit as my wife wanted her stock tires. It looks like a factory e-trike now. Used a 48v 20ah battery and it rips. IT’s got torque!!! the torque arm kit SOLD Separately its a must. I spun the hub once. Tighten those nuts tight and install a torque arm also. I’m a big guy 340lbs it pulls me up grade on hills and runs in the mid 20mph range which is scary as heck on this trike. Supposedly it’s capped at 750watts and 20-25mph if you disconnect the blue wire as stated in the instructions it’s in off-road mode and a full 1000watts. It’s fine as is for my wife. I’m not giving her full power it’s gonna be dangerous if I do. It’s the perfect campground exploring rig now. Pedal assist mode 1 is around 7-10mph 2 is around 13-15, 3 is 15-18, 4 is up to around 20 and 5 is 20+. I’ve not messed with any custom settings yet. One complaint worth noting is its default is kilometers but that’s an easy fix. Super quit and smooth.

A Necessary Convenience (Front Wheel Hub on E-Trike - One year in)
I've had this for over a year on my trike (a department store variety one, but it works), converted into an e-trike. For the most part it works wonderfully and can get me where I need to go within the city limits without issue. With the speed limiter hooked up, I can get between 15 to 20 mph, probably because I'm more than a hefty individual (250+ pounds), without the hook-up attached I can get up to 30 mph - this is on a 48v dual battery setup resulting in 30Ah. So I can get a decent speed for casual riding as well as hauling cargo when needing to go uphill. There are some issues I find with it, however. The connector and cables don't all fit into the bag, and even then there was an instance when one of the protective sleeves slipped within the bag and the wire ended up fusing with three other protective sleeves. I have enough electronic experience to handle it so it didn't cause further issues, but I imagine should it happen to another, they might find this problematic.Beside simple electronic problems like poor connections, It's has little to no problems for me. I did have to replace my initial disc rotor brake for another due to size, but that is an issue with the trike, not the wheel itself. With little to no noise, I find the hub motor appealing to those who want a nice quite ride, and with more battery capacity, those who love a little more speed can have an exciting trip where they want to go, be for business or pleasure. I replaced the twist throttle with a thumb throttle a couple months ago due to strain on my wrist, which I'd recommend for anyone with little motorcycle experience. The price is a fair enough in my opinion, but I believe it depends on one's experience with electronic work and usage of such.I enjoy this additional to my trike as a necessary convenience for those who either don't have a vehicle to drive or for those who don't want to commit to a gas-powered vehicle. Add the parts like a light, a horn, and turning signals to your ride and it makes it far safer and more street legal. Always where a helmet. All in all, I love my e-trike and will continue to maintain and ride it for fun and getting groceries (much easier with a cargo trailer and unhooked speed limiter).

It has major problems
Received on time and in great condition. The unit is better than the last unit from a different manufacturer. This one has a larger motor, has a pedal assist if you want to use it, and has an LCD unit for speed, battery, and miles traveled. Much more than the other unit I bought from Walmart a couple of years ago and for a really decent price too. I couldn't be happier. It is a strong motor that will last me many years I hope. Well, it would be if it worked. So far I haven't been able to get it to run. The wheel mounted easily and I connected up the controller and the display. Set it to max power and twisted the throttle grip..and nothing happened. Tested the battery again and it was still at 52v as it should be. So now I gotta figure out why it is not working. I got it to work for 10 feet. Then tried using 2 other controllers and still it not working. I cannot at this time recommend this product and in fact, I say stay away from it. It is a headache and I cannot afford to get a product from someone else as I only had enough to do this one time. I got ripped off. I finally got it to work only to have it tear itself out of the mount twice in a row with the destruction of 2 torque arms used specifically to help it not tear out of the mount. Seems the major problem is the wires come out the wrong side of the motor and unlike other brands it interferes with mounting the torque arms properly which causes the problem. If the wires came out the left side where the disc brake can mount then the torque arm could be better positioned. Alas, I know of no way to solve the problem. Right now I am going to have to hammer both mount areas back tighter as they got spread by the motor jumping out as the axle twisted. Luckily I was going slow enough that I was able to stop almost instantly and therefore did not get injured. Stay away from this product unless they fix the wire situation. The motor runs strong when it isn't tearing up the fork mount areas for the axle. AW has a similar quality kit for a little more money and its wires come out the correct side.

Here we go!!
Install the 1st one on wife's mountain bike. She has always like riding her bike, but with having RA, she has miss the joy of riding. Just purchase the E-bike conversion kit and had it installed. WOW what a difference it has made, she is looking forward to riding again. This kit is power with just a turn of the grip. Thank you.

Nice Wheel
I have purchased several of these wheels. There work really good. By now I find them very easy to install. My only complaint is some of them are not trued up correctly. I end up having to tru them myself. Not such a big deal but for someone with bike repair skills it is.
