The 40" bag fits both the OTA, tripod minus the mount, and all the accessories. It comes with a smaller bag which holds both counter weights. The side accessory compartment is perfect for the guide scope, and all the rods and washers used in the assembly of the tripod and mount. It has a descent amount of padding and I personally wouldn't use it for a Newtonian. I have a hard case due to how easy it is to mess up the collimation. It's a user preference, do as you please with your OTA. The bag isn't the highest quality feeling. My concerns, which only time will tell, are the connection points where the straps meet the bag. It is kind relatively basic and not fancy, but it does get the job done. I kept the blister foil from the telescope's original packaging and use it as additional padding in the bag, and so far no issues at all. It has enough space to accommodate for everything the telescope came with, plus some additional accessories. It is also easy to carry, and well balanced when distributing weight equally while packing. I first found it kind of expensive for what it is, but I guess it is ok if it holds up as well as it promises.
