Picture is still good in day time, not good color but still good quality

will this work on a telescope for looking at stars?

Can’t say that I’ve ever tried looking at stars.... although it works well for hunting rats!

Is there a way to add a recording device?

You would have to get a splitter cable from the camera going to the display and the other going to your recording device.
