Impressive for the price point
Impressed how good it is for the price! The blades included are not anything good so do yourself a favor and throw them out. Get some good quality feather blades and it perform great and give you a nice clean shave. Does have some weight to it so it does feel nice in the hand. Definitely recommend

Terrific razor
Have been wanting to try this “knockoff” of the $37 Australian razor for quite a while. As best as I can determine Baili makes the same razor, this one without some colored banding and name engraving on the head which I’d prefer not to have anyway. It’s a terrific heavy, long razor with excellent fit and finish. I have to learn to adjust my grip a bit as the head bend the blade more than my other razors do. Yes, the grip is more slippery with the polished finish but it’s not a big deal as knurling or something would detract from the character of this razor. For me at least, head engraving and colored banding on the handle isn’t worth paying 3x the price. Also , the include 5 pack of blades is a nice extra. Don’t know who makes them but they’re sharp and smooth All in all a close, comfortable shave and great value for the buck.

Great entry level safety razor
The good: It's easy to use and a good price. If you're not sure you really want to switch, this is a great way to find out. The shave is more comfortable than any cartridge razor I've ever used, and my skin appreciates it. The blades it comes with are good. I don't know what people are talking about when they say the handle is slick and hard to hold. Maybe it's been updated, but I don't have that issue at all.The bad: After just three weeks, I'm already thinking of upgrading to both an adjustable and a butterfly-opening head. There is nothing wrong with this razor. However, it doesn't get that close. I like that most of the time, but not always. I essentially still have a 5 o'clock shadow after shaving with this razor.Tip: Go to YouTube and watch a tutorial on how to use a safety razor. After dragging a cartridge razor across my face for 30 years, it was extremely beneficial to watch the tutorial and get used to the 30 degree angle and no-pressure technique.

great value. great shave. great for beginners
I have been using a safety razor on and off since 1962 when in the military. I have very sensitive skin and need a mild razor. I have been using a feather as-d2 ($162) and feather blades. my friend turned me on to this razor. I figured I couldn't go wrong for $12. I was absolutely stunned. the workmanship rivaled any razor I have. (many). I loaded a feather blade and began. It was so smooth I felt my beard and I had no audible feedback. I shaved with, against and across the grain and had no razor burn and a BBS. I was so pleased I immediately ordered another, in case I dropped the first one. Whether you are a beginner or an old timer this is not only the best value but a superior shave. buy it.

Worked great then... jammed
Loved it. Especailly for the money. Really smooth and no sharp edges to get jagged on. Felt like a quality prodcut. Then yesterday... jammed tight. Nothing I could do to unscrew it. Froze it, boiled it, covered it in UD40 all... nothing would get it unstuck. Read on the web that this happens when the "thread isnt coated". So out of frustration I used pliars and a wrench. One twist and it the top tore completely off.Really sad because i was enjoying it up until then. :(

The blade fits tight and doesn't chatter like the butter fly open top razors do
This is one product I wish I had found years ago. I've had the same blade in it for at least ten shaves. The blade fits tight and doesn't chatter like the butter fly open top razors do. Even though it is a die cast product it has a super nice finish like it has been band polished before chroaming. It has a great feel and weight. As a.teen I tried the open top butterfly design and because of the loose blade chatter it chopped my face like road rash. This thing is much smoother and DOESN'T CLOG AT ALL!!!!One thing I plan to do is keep it submerged in alcohol because I know a man who got flesh eating bacteria from a re used razor. It was a disposable razor that caused his problems but I assume any blade that is re used could infect you.

Best rasor I have tried yet
I have very sensitive skin and finally decided to try a safety razor to see how I liked it. This thing is great. It's easy to learn how to use, feels very heavy and sturdy, and has held up great. I have saved so much money using it, it has helped me cut down on plastic, and I no longer have as many problems with irritated skin after shaving. 10/10. The only time it has every cut me badly was when I dropped it and was dumb enough to try to catch it blade-first before it fell. The razor fell anyways after I dropped it to nurse a cut thumb. But hey, the razor was just fine, because this thing is a durable beast. I only wish the handle had ridges or grips so it was a little easier to hold with wet or soapy hands.

I just had a really great shave
I just had a really great shave, my first shave with a safety razor. I have tried all of the modern razors trying to get a comfortable close shave but then not wanting to break the bank. I can't believe the answer is so simple. Now I think the modern 5 blade cartridge razor is just a gimmick to get you to spend more money. I am getting great results with this safety razor for pennies on the dollar per blade compared to a cartridge. There is a slight learning curve to get the angle right but don't worry you'll get it by the time you're done with you first shave. This razor is great quality and the blades that come with it are good too. I might opt for a knurled handle next time because when your hands are soapy it's a little difficult to hold onto.
