Personal Favorite
This game met all my hopes. It's the game that I always wanted Risk to be, but it wasn't. The rules are far more developed, yet not that hard to learn. The game is very well balanced, and has strategic variety as well as a little chance. This provides both a sense of control as well as surprise. The chance doesn't make the strategy negligible, but the chance is enough to keep your strategy on its toes. A couple of things that this game does better than its counterpart are: 1) There is no steam rolling. 2) It won't last forever. You can't just attack as many territories as you want in a single turn, and the game only lasts so many rounds. So there won't be a never ending cycle of back-and-forth. Also the way the dice are resolved makes it that in most cases the casualties of both the attacker and defender are very close to the same. This way attacking is more strategic when done surgically, and the attacker isn't nearly always better off than the defender. The game impressed me by having many design factors (some which I have seen in other games) that made it rich in complexity, yet combined in a manner which somehow is seemingly simple and easy to understand. This makes the game easier to find people willing to play than might be typical of a similarly complex game. The game also allows you to play it with anywhere from 2 to 8 people. Which provides a lot more flexibility than other games. That being said I personally would recommend an even number of players. Since having played a three player game a couple of times, I know there is a small tendency for the odd player out to run away with the game. Interestingly, the game still works just as well with two players as more. Which I wouldn't necessarily have anticipated. Since often times two player variants of a game can be very different and unsatisfying. I would certainly recommend this game to anyone who likes strategy and conquest. It is now definitely one of my personal favorites.

Great game
This game is really fun it is a based loosely on Risk but much better rules and gets rid of the worst of Risk. The game play is fairly quick (90 minutes which is good for a strategy game) as there is a dice that counts down unlike in Risk which goes on forever. You really have to be strategic in your turns to win. You can play multiple people which is the most fun or multiple factions with less people still fun but I find that people tend to focus on one and sacrifice one so its a bit less fun. Great game overall. I highly recommend

Very pleased with this game!
I just opened up my copy of this game today and gave it a shot after reading over the rules a few times. Although I played solo (which is not suggested in any way since you control at least 6 factions yourself), I found the game to be very enjoyable. I could see where this could easily become a favorite among friends, whether or not we played as teams. Here are a few things to note:+The box that the game comes in is very well made (Looks great too)+Great quality for the game board (It is a 6-fold board, by the way)+Cards are very good quality+Tons of cubes (90/color; 720 total)+Excellent mechanics for determining turns for players (In my opinion)+Multiple tie-breakers+Low required playtime with regards to it being a strategy game (especially compared to Risk)+/- Limited Rounds are implemented instead of any particular "end goals" (I personally think this is genius; some people may not prefer it)Edit:This game is a hit amongst friends. It's relatively simple to teach (as long as people are paying attention) and flows pretty smoothly. Almost anytime my wife and I go to an event where board games are present this one has been requested almost every time.

Like risk but better. Well made game
Great game. Makes you plan out your moves better than stacking up troops in risk and conquering the world. Plus turn limit helps with the time of the game. Last more than 2 hours depending on the number of players. Very unique artwork. Battle system is cool. Makes it more fair for the defender without making the attacker too overpowered when they have a lot of troops.

Got this game on the basis of a DiceTower review ...
Got this game on the basis of a DiceTower review for it. I agree with the review in that this is a "Risk killer," i.e., probably would never want to play standard Risk given having this game available. With the variable starting positions, resource concerns, and action card play, this game goes well beyond the move and roll pattern that characterizes standard Risk.

but I feel like this one is worth a review
I don't typically write reviews on products, but I feel like this one is worth a review! I was looking for a fun, balanced, and more mechanical alternative to "Risk." This was absolutely the game I was looking for! After checking it out a little, I ordered it, and the creator got it to me even before Amazon's earliest projected date of arrival. We were able to bring it to the table for the first time, last night, and it was outstanding! If you're looking for a ballanced Risk-killer, that adds a ton of new depth to the game, this is the one you want!

Great game that rivals the likes of Risk
I’ve been on the fence about purchasing this game but decided to pull the trigger and try it out.The game itself is a great strategy game that has a lot more action compared to a standard Risk game. It starts off a bit slow but when the last two to three rounds come, the game ramps up and factions go up and down the score tracker with every turn. The only qualm I have is the tracker board is a bit flimsy.

Great world conquest game for family and friends!
Great world conquest game for two to six players. Will you go for oil to get more moves than your competition? Will you go for brute strength in forces? Or Will you go for technology? All are ways to win. The winner will come from the pack by cunning strategy and play. This is the game that you will want to play over and over again!
