If you're looking for the good tasting Stevia, this is not what you want. It's Very bitter. I always get the individual packets of Stevia now. I'm not sure what you would use this stevia for. Maybe baking, but I didn't try it

Contrary to one of the reviews, this product (SweetLeaf Organic Pure Stevia Powder Shaker Jar, Sugar Free- 0.9 Oz) does NOT contain silica. I use it in my coffee. To control the amount I do not use the shaker. I remove the shaker top and scoop out a very miniscule amount with a very tiny spoon. I like the taste and do not find it bitter. I have used this company's regular stevia and like this just as much. To save $ I am hoping this will last longer considering how concentrated it is.

Best stevia on the market. This concentrate lasts a looooong time. Just a tiny bit goes a long way. Great in hot tea, baking and smoothies!

This product is very sweet. A serving equivalent to 1 tsp. of sugar is only 1/80 of a teaspoon. This did not come with a small measuring spoon, which would have been nice. The holes in the shaker top and HUGE, and it's extremely easy to add too much stevia. There was a learning curve for me, as it took several tries to get the desired sweetness in my coffee. As others have mentioned, it doesn't dissolve easily in hot coffee. I found it would eventually dissolve with continued stirring. I plan to try adding the stevia to the cup first, then stirring while you pour in your coffee, as mentioned in some other reviews. I found no off-tastes when adding normal amounts of sweetener to my coffee. If you overdo the stevia, it may develop on off-taste. For me, it mostly tasted fine, except when I added way too much to my coffee in the beginning as I was getting used to how little you need for sweetness. Again, if they added a tiny spoon or scoop to the stevia to help you judge how little you need, that would be very helpful and appreciated. I'm on the fence about whether I would buy this product again. This bottle will probably last longer than me, as I'm in my 70's and a little of this stevia goes a long way. I have no idea how well this would work in baking and other recipes. Probably I am not very likely to use this in baking. It is perhaps not the best choice for baking, as many recipes need the bulking derived from sugar itself, and sugar helps things brown nicely as well. It's a bonus that this is organic.

Yes, you read that right! It is sweeter than Kal pure stevia!!!! I have tried pure stevia extract powders from Nunatural (LOVE their twist-to-adjust holes sprinkle bottle, not quite as sweet as Kal), Kal (great value, very sweet, has small amount of maltodextrin it which I never noticed), and Stevia Select (very expensive and weak.) Seeing as how just about all stevia comes from China, I decided to pay a bit more by first trying a non-Chinese stevia (Stevia Select) which was a dismal disappointment, and then I had an epiphany and thought why not organic since there are more stringent regulations governing the growth and production of organic products? I had never even tried pure Sweetleaf stevia before. I chanced upon it, and it was cheaper than Organic Kal. Well, organic SweetLeaf has absolutely blown me away. It actually takes less than Kal to attain the same sweeteness. I honestly did not think that was even possible because Kal is so potent. This product does not comes with a spoon, and the holes are HUGE in the sprinkle top. If you tried to sprinkle some in your coffee or iced tea with this bottle, you would absolutely ruin your drink. I have kept my old twist-to-dispense NuNaturals bottle and transferred my sweetleaf stevia into it. I also kept my old Kal and Stevia Select tiny spoons to use. I believe they are 1/64 teaspoon. It took 6 tiny spoons of Kal pure stevia extract to sweeten a gallon of tea, 11 spoons of Stevia Select pure stevia extract, and just 5 spoons of this Organic Sweetleaf pure stevia extract powder. Two of these bottles together is a great value and will last me 6 months or more- I do cook and bake quite a bit and make a gallon of tea a week. I did consider Organic Kal pure extract, but it costs a little more. Now I am glad I didn't! I am so happy with this that I will be sticking with it from now on! Try it, you wont be disappointed!!!!! For desserts, I sweeten with 1/4-1/2 cup of erythritol (best price any not from china right now is Anthony's), then I sweeten the rest of the way with pure stevia. And by the way, there is a bitter aftertaste with ALL stevia products IF, HUGE IF, you use too much!!!! Just sweeten slowly until it's perfect! I would highly recommend you find a better bottle to put this in so you can do just that... Or better yet, change the design, SweetLeaf!

I have been using KAL brand stevia powder for years and I love it. Since my bottle was getting low, I decided to go on Amazon and order more. But before doing so, I decided to read some of the reviews and saw that the ingredients had been changed and many people said it tasted bad. So instead of the KAL brand, I ordered SweetLeaf Stevia Extract Powder. BIG MISTAKE!!! The little .9 oz bottle says that it has 1000 servings in it, so I figured I only needed less than half of the tiny spoon that came in the KAL brand (the Sweetleaf Powder did not come with a measuring spoon, but instead said that a serving size was 1/80 teaspoon. How on earth can you measure that?) Anyway, 1/2 of the tiny spoon did not sweeten my coffee in the least. For the next cup, I used a full tiny spoonful. It still it did not taste sweet to me, but I decided not to add more as I was afraid I'd make the coffee bitter. The coffee was drinkable, but afterwards I had a bad taste in my mouth. I would not buy this brand again! So once again I'm back to my search for the best tasting stevia powder. I've already tried more brands then I can even remember and only KAL has ever met my approval.

I have had this on subscription for years. It is a high quality organic Stevia with NO bitterness. Some people complain that they think Stevia is bitter and that is because it’s not the true organic Stevia leaf. Try this product! Dissolves quickly in beverages.

This brand is new to me - many of the company's products do contain extras for taste or bulk, I've noticed - so I'm happy this I've received is the pure organic extract. It's pricey, but there was a deal, so not much difference from others this order. The outer and inner seals I found intact. The size will last me a long while, though small - a teeny tiny smidgen is usually more than enough. The texture is what I expected, and I find it dissolves easily enough. Stevia has become my favorite sweetener - not a substitute for sugar, which I'm not even avoiding anyway. Because I like a bit of bitterness too, Stevia is my go-to when something lacks, but could benefit from, just a skosh more sweetness.
