The bars are too close together. It's very difficult to get the towels in between the bars. I wish I could return it however I didn't realize how awful it is until it was hung on the wall.

I have one of these on a timer that comes on for several hours every morning. I am not trying to warm the towel before use but to dry it after. Living in a rainy moist climate towels don't dry well otherwise and get moldy. The towel warmer works great to prevent that. Just hang the towel over it after use and it shuts off all by itself. No moldy smelling towels. I do not weave it through the bars. I recommend a larger one though. We bought one twice as big when we remodeled the second bath to hold 2 towels it's so useful. This one holds one towel, although you could scrunch 2 side by side over it. It's better than damp smelly towels!

It took some time to get this installed, not through any fault of the product, just finding someone who could. Now that the weather is getting cooler it is such a treat to wrap up in a warm towel after bathing. The Jeeves towel warmer is a nice indulgence, very attractive on the wall. I am very pleased with my purchase.
