I am building my first Delta style 3D printer and not about that switch.** A: The micro switch and screw are used for AUTO LEVELING feature. The HOTEND will lift slightly once it touches a surface and the SCREW will lift away from the MICRO SWITCH causing a change of the signal on the controller. The SCREW can be adjusted to increase the amount of force needed as it touches the bed. I did not implement this feature using this setup. The HOTEND works well. You will need hardware (screws and nuts) to attach the carriage. One last thing if you are going with a smoothieboard do not use the mks base 1.3 use a different brand. The newest firmware will give you headaches unless you decipher why it doesn't work. Good luck on your new build. **Q: Is this compatible with m3 ball joints?** A: No it's not. **Q: What are tge dimensions of this effector?
