Great alternative !!
Much cleaner and easier to handle than the traditional ceiling tile. Cutting is a snap and you don't have to worry about them crumbling when you have to work with them or move them to get to something above.. They look crisp and the sound absorption is much better the traditional tiles.

Not recommended if you are trying for a very dark home theater.
If you look straight at it it looks flat black. If the light is reflected off if at a medium or low incident angle it is VERY reflective. This is good during the day because the room is well lit and your ceiling looks a medium grey. At night when you want to watch a movie the shine of the ceiling is distracting at times.
