DaToo Aquarium Chillers Fish Tank Cooling Fan Quiet Aquarium Fan Wind Angle Adjustable Chiller with Clip and Suction Cup

This fan works! My tank was around 72 degrees at room temp. Once I got this fan, my tank has been 65-68 degrees. I use this for my axolotl. He has a top fin rimmed aquarium from Petsmart. I chose this fan because of the suction cup, this allows me to use it with a rimmed tank. The part of the fan that sticks out to go over the rim just sits on the rim of the tank. It does have screws for security but with the rim, the fan doesn’t go down far enough on the tank wall for me to use the screws. If you had a rimless tank that part would fit over the tank wall, but you can still use this fan with a rimmed tank. The fan feels sturdy but you could always ziptie another suction cup to the fan for more security. Anyway, I am really happy with this fan. It was perfect for everything I needed it for. It is also so quiet I don’t even know when it’s on. I never leave reviews but it has been so difficult to find a fan for my axolotl, I wanted to write this so people wouldn’t have the headache I’ve had ordering fans and then having to send them back.

The product does exactly what it says it does it dropped it down to 7° which is exactly what I needed for my axolotl tank. And it was I only bought one. I am buying 1 more for this tank that way during the summer it stays below 70. This is us a 20 gallon tank, I think that’s amazing that one VERY quiet small fan can drop it down to 7°, I will be buying more for my other tanks, Also the price is Amazingly cheap! I have bought those $40-$60 fans that are like in a long strip with several fans, those were loud and never cooled the tank down past 4° and they were FOUR fans, this Fan is ONE fan and it droped down 7°, and those who need it colder than 68 imagine putting three more of these on, I think it would be very sufficient, I was very skeptical when I plugged it in because I did not think it was going to have enough push to do it, but I don’t think it’s the push of the fan I think it’s the fact the way that you can angle it, this fan you can angle perfectly over the water to where it gets full contact, those past fans that I’d purchase for these tanks they don’t go all the way down or bend at a 90° angle. The closest angle I’ve ever gotten is maybe 65 so I highly recommend this fan especially for Axolotls tanks.

I THOUGHT this fan was amazing! It worked great for a few days. It lowered the temperature of our 40 gallon by 5-6 degrees. I left it off for a few days, and when I went to turn it on again, it no longer worked. I tried using different outlets. I tried using a new adapter. Nothing worked. At first it would start to come on. Then it would die. After a few rounds of that, it just stopped completely. Don’t waste your money!

This fan worked great last summer but the cord is very short for the way the tank is set up so it's possible that the tension caused this issue. However it no longer recognizes that there is a charger in the device and won't turn on. At first it acted like it had a short in it and would randomly go off or come back on. So we got one summer's use out of it. Now I'm looking at other products and when I came back to this page it says "frequently returned item."

It won't fit on the side of my fish tank, so I don't know how well the suction cup works. I put this fan on the lid of my tank, pointed at the filter, and it keeps the water at a good temperature for my axolotl. It's not summer yet so I can't say if it works when the weather is 90°+. It hasn't started making a rattling noise like the different fan I had previously, which is the reason I got this one.

Works very good even for a tank with a rim. Low noise. I looked for awhile till I found this fan. Good value

The fan works great but the cable is to short for anyone to put on the top of their display and have an outlet option. The bracket on the fan does not work at all for a rimmed tank and also doesn't fit my sump. I did a sort of wacky tie down/prop up job to try to make it stay on my sump. We will see if it stays. Don't buy if you have rimmed tank. I'm sure it would work fine for rimless. Also it does not put out very much air flow but I have not had it on long enough to see if it will make any difference for my tank temp.

Needed a fan for my Axolotl which is in a 20 gallon long tank. The temperature of the water was 22C and after leaving the fan running for about 5 hours, it bought the temp down to 19.5C (difference of 2.5C or 4.5F) which is what is advertised. If water starts to warm up during the summer time, I will strongly consider getting another one.

I’m happy how well this fan is keeping the temp down in my axolotl tank. It’s great that you can twist the fan in different directions to meet your tank needs. Easy to use and I like that it takes up less real estate on my tank edge. Also LOVE how quiet this fan is. You can’t hear it at all.

i just got it for my fish tank and it kept being delayed, when it finally came today i opened it and it came broken and the box wasn’t even sealed

Its super quite, I honesty would forget I have it on, the only down side is that it only really ever brought the water temperature down by about two degrees
