Cheap and it Works!
PROs 1. I purchased horse pine bed pellets from a Tractor Supply Store ( their own farm store brand) for $6 for a huge bag. I drove 40 minutes to get to that store and purchased 2 bags which will take forever for my cats to go though. Pellets much cheaper than scoopable litter. 2. Pellets do turn to sawdust when wet. It can stink if too much wet litter is on the bottom of the brown lower pan and cannot dry out easily. That is why I elevated the white hole pan above it with 5 Chef Boyardee (microwavable) containers (glued to bottom of white pan) so the brown pan can hold more sawdust between emptying and to get more air circulating between brown pan bottom and white hole pan to help dry wet pellets/saw dust out. No more smell. 3. I purchased TWO of these litter boxes. I put TWO brown pans inside each other and then put one white hole pan on top of the brown pans and set the rest of the 2nd litter pan in the garage. That way, I can shake the white hole pan into the brown pan and remove the brown pan with litter and set the white hole pan on the 2nd clean brown pan. I then take the 1st brown pan with sawdust in it to the compost pile and dump it. If it needs it I will hose it down in the backyard and let it dry and then place it under the brown pan. Rotating brown pans makes everything easier. 4. The white hole pan is dishwasher safe if used on top shelf of dishwasher. Someone put a large sticker on the bottom of the white hole pan covering the holes. It was taking me forever to scrap all the sticker off each and every little hole. I got frustrated and put the white hole pan in my dishwasher top shelf on 1 hour clean and viola - the sticker came off. 5. Sawdust is so MUCH LIGHTER than wet half clumped scoopable litter. When I carry the brown bottom pan filled with sawdust to the compost bin outside it is very very light. CONs 1) The white "HOLE" pan is too low to the bottom of the brown pan. I read where someone glued pipe ends to bottom of white hole pan but being cheap, I glued 5 empty Chef Boyardee microwave containers (face down) to the bottom of the white hole pan. 4 in each corner and one in the middle as I have a fat cat. These empty Chef Boyardee containers are high enough to allow litter to fall threw the holes and fill the brown pan below. I can also pick up the white hole pan and shake it and the sawdust sifts though the holes into the area beneath. 2) It was bit of trouble to get my old cat to use it. I had to put TWO litter pans next to each other. One with scoopable litter and one with pellets. I then put a few bits of her poo in the pellet litter along with a bit of scooapble litter wet with her urine. Then I STOPPED cleaning the scooble litter pan - GROSS. She kept stubbornly using it until the entire top was hard/crusted over. Then she did her business in one of the bedrooms so I closed ALL DOORS. FINALLY she used the pellet litter box and she has been using it every since. My cat is a digger and she gets pellets on the floor but they are easier to sweep up than litter and not tracked as easily either. I am going to cut a hole in the side of a large plastic tub and put my Arm/Hammer sift litter tray inside it to help contain the pellets as my cat really goes to town. To be fair I was going to do this if i had kept using scoopable litter also because my cat is messy. I have tried the crystal litter boxes, the litter box where urine runs through the litter and pools in bottom and you empty it (THE ABSOLUTE WORST MOST DISGUSTING litter box ever) and several other weird models that uses alternatives to scooble litter. I went though a dozen scooble litter types from SamsClub to everything on Amazon but nothing truly clumps. I tried several alternatives to scoopable litters like litter made from grain, newspapers, etc....all over hyped. Tidy Cat changed its formula awhile back and now urine does not clump but falls apart stinking up the litter box or I would never have been on the search for a different litter box. I have to thank Tidy Cat for me finding this litter sifting box and using horse bed pine pellets.

BEST CAT LITTER BOX... BAR NONE!!! :)
This is the BEST, QUICKEST and most HASSLE-FREE way to clean out the litter box. AND no electricity needed. I like that! It is ALSO high enough to keep litter from being kicked out on the floor... but low enough for cats to enter in. This is not for little kittens under the age of 2.5 months unless they are tall enough. I would suggest shorter litter boxes for small kittens. You can also buy those on Amazon. Some even come with kitten toys and are bright pink. Now my three-month-old is using the big kitty litter box.

Still love it months later...
UPDATE 5/5/19 After watching the lady with the cattery on YouTube, I've decided to go with the Breeze using the large So Phresh box to catch the sawdust instead of the tray provided. Sorry Arm & Hammer. Yours has better slats but it's a smaller box and I don't want to search for the right size bottom box to use with it. Someone needs to produce a sifting box with a good 3" to 5" clearance from the bottom box and the right size slats for the sawdust to fall through without the pine pellets getting through or stuck. They'd make a killing in the litter box business! UPDATE 4/16/19 When I embarked on this new system using pine pellets instead of clay litter, I first purchased the Pet Mate 42036 Arm & Hammer Large Sifting Litter Pan. Soon after I purchased the Purina Tidy Cats BREEZE Cat Litter Box System so I could compare the two systems. After using both for over two months, I am no longer enamored with the Breeze. What a mess to clean up when you remove the tray to dump the potty pad! The (moist) sawdust gets into the tracks where the tray slides in and out and it's almost impossible to get it out without using your fingers, and even then you can't get it all out. Talk about gross! Granted, I'm not using the pellets that came with it and from what I understand, they work differently. Probably loaded with chemicals too as well as way over priced. Regardless, something called the BREEZE shouldn't be this difficult to empty the tray without getting sawdust everywhere! The Arm & Hammer sifting box, on the other hand, is closer to being a "breeze" to clean and empty the bottom box without a huge mess. Its only downfall is that I have to put 4 pieces of wood in between the two boxes for space for the sawdust to fall into. But that's minor compared to how easy it is to empty the sawdust & pad. HINT: Get a jumbo size litter box and put the entire system inside of it. Any pellets or sawdust that get kicked out will fall into the larger box. When you empty the bottom box and pad, just dump what fell into the jumbo box into it before dumping. No muss, no fuss! A&H is superior, hands down, and you can't beat the price. (If they just added feet to the top box to give an inch or so space, it would be PERFECT for using pine pellets! Took off one star for this shortcoming, otherwise it would be 5 stars. ) Will be buying a second Arm & Hammer sifting box and selling the Breeze. Original Review: This was my first litter box purchased after switching to pine pellets. It's not designed necessarily for the pellets, as there isn't enough space between the sifting box and the box underneath it to accommodate the pee pads and all the sawdust to fall down. I used blocks of wood underneath the pee pads to put space between it and the sifter to make it work. Also the box could be a little bigger. But other than that, it's a good solid box and excellent system, whether you're using clay litter or pine pellets. You just need to put the boxes in a different order depending on which litter you're using.

Great litterbox option
So easy to use much better than scooping. Ive used a lot of electronic boxes but they get dirty sensors and cause issues. Rhis was so afordable and works great.

A great litter box
I own two of these. They are an easy and quick way to keep a clean litter box when using scoopable litter.

It’s ok but I prefer just scooping
The system is large. Comes with 2 pans and one sifter. I used it the way it was intended at first, but after a while, it was easier to me just to separate the 2 pans and not use the sifter at all. It’s kinda messy. And it takes a while to do. It’s faster for me just to scoop. So I got 2 litter trays of of this purchase. Which makes it worth it to me.

Very efficient cat-poop hushpuppy sifter!
This litter tray is practical, efficient, and excellent. I had a make shift litter box consisting of a regular brown paper box, with a paper page lined inside of it until I could get an actual litter box like this one. I dumped the entire contents of the makeshift litter box into this thing, and it sifted the litter like it was fine dust. It sorted out weeks-old, buried cat-poop hushpuppies in a matter of minutes. I was so thankful that this thing was able to help me cut down on my litter situation at home.

Litter sifting & changing made easy!
I've used sifting litter pans previously, and ended up switching back to a basic litter pan because of the mess made when trying to sift the dirty litter out..... NOT with this set! I placed the sifting pan in the middle of the 2 solid-based units, and dumping from the solid-bottom to the sifting pan was very easy and not nearly as messy! I use Arm & Hammer EZ-Slide litter, and it slides right out of the pan into the sifter. Lifting up the sifter is pretty much all I needed to do to have the dirty litter remain for disposal, and the loose litter flowed into the bottom pan with ease. Fits very well inside a litter-table I purchased separately for my living room, and makes it easy for me to remember to clean it out regularly! My cats love it!

10 minute task is now 2 minutes
Very easy to use and makes the task of cleaning the litter box a lot faster. my only comment would be the size, it works for kittens but might be a little small for big cats.
