Hoover Vacuum Cleaner Bags for Platinum Upright Vacs, Pack of 2, Type Q

I've noticed in the recent reviews that people are complaining that the bags they received weren't manufactured by Hoover. The ones that I received are the genuine article and are exactly as pictured on the Amazon site. For anyone who received the wrong ones; I can understand their being upset, as the genuine Hoover bags are much higher in quality than any off-brand would be. What I especially like about these bags, is that they leave no dust residue in the air. I also own an LG bag-less vacuum, and find that with the bag-less design; dust manages to escape around the edges of the dust collector receptacle. As far as I'm concerned; dusting and vacuuming are two of the most unpleasant jobs that a homeowner needs to do. When a product comes along that enables you to not only thoroughly clean your house, but to do so without leaving any dust residue behind; it's a godsend. These bags are not your typical cheap paper bags, but rather; they're made of a very high quality, almost velvet like material that is designed to a very high standard. The HEPA material is not only extremely helpful at keeping dust out of the air, but is also priceless when it comes to removing pet dander. When our son visits us; he has a terrible time dealing with cat dander, as he's highly allergic to cats. It almost reached the point where he and his family had to stay at a hotel because he simply couldn't put up with the dander from our cat. While these vacuum cleaner bags do not eliminate dander that's currently generated by our cat; they do an extremely effective job of removing dander that has built up in the house. Now; my son and family are able to stay over for a few days, without any major problems. The cat dander building up in the air while they're visiting is still an issue, however, since so much of it's been removed; it makes an unbearable situation bearable. The bottom line is that these are worthy of a 5 star rating, as they work exactly as advertised, thus making your house a whole lot cleaner and the air a lot more healthy to breathe.

I love my Hoover stand up vacuum cleaner and these bags are the best ones. The bags are made of a thick material and I don't have dust coming out of the seams when I vacuum. I'm so happy they still makes these. I've had the vacuum for 12 years and sometimes wonder if my vacuum will out live the bag production.

Ran out of bags for my hoover light weight upright vacuum cleaner, and was surprised how hard it was to find a replacement! I called several stores within 60 miles (!) with no luck. Amazon carried the right size, and the new bags were delivered quiickly. The bags are large and have hepa filters and the combo of bag and vacuum work great at keeping our large home clean.

The Hoover Vacuum Cleaner Bags are the specific kind for my Hoover Vacuum. They work great. They do keep the dust etc. inside the bag. They are easy to install. The only thing I don't like about them is the price. I go through them rather quickly because I have pets. It is expensive to run my vacuum.

I just read some reviews about the handle breaking on these vacuums and I wonder if people are lifting their vacuum and carrying it around incorrectly. There is a carry handle on the vacuum and it should only be lifted with that. I always lift my Hoover via its carry handle, not the handle used when operating the machine, and after owning this Hoover for several years now I have to say it has never given me any grief. It is lightweight and easy to use and the only thing I have to do occasionally is "adjust" the bag when the red warning light comes on notifying me that the bag is full when in reality, it isn't. Sometimes this happens within a couple days of installing a new bag so I know it cannot possibly need changing. I figured out what was happening and it is cat hair clogging the upper part of the bag. If I have a lot of cat hair to clean up this can happen because the hair does not fall to the bottom of the bag like normal weight debris will...instead, it gets sucked into the bag and stays right there at the top and after a few days of that happening, the change bag warning light comes on because the cat hair stuck at the top of the bag makes the machine think the bag is full. The little canister cleaner is not quite as wonderful as the upright--it's actually quite basic--but it comes in handy for cleaning out the car.

About 2 months after receiving my Hoover UH30010COM Lightweight Upright Vacuum Cleaner I ordered these replacement bags, like the one that came with the vac, so I would not get caught without a new bag when my current one was full. On my old vac I had to replace the bag about every 3 months. It's now been over 6 months and I still do not need a new one. I'm not only thrilled with my new vacuum and how it cleans but love that the bags last so much longer than I have experienced in the past. I have allergies and this Hepa product really contains the dust within the bag and makes a difference. Kudos to Hoover for a great vacuum and for making high quality bags.

I got these Hoover vacuum bags for a great price!! I bought them used from the Amazon Warehouse seller, free shipping & came out to just over $8. At the Hoover website, they were being sold for $10 + $5 for shipping, so just over $15 with taxes for a brand new box of 2 bags! So for almost half off what they’re worth, I got the same quality, for brand new bags! It seemed as though someone bought the wrong bags & didn’t realize till they opened the box! The box was a little torn & messed up, but the vacuum bags were in perfect condition, brand new! Didn’t even look like they had been unfolded before!! So I am VERY happy with this purchase, I will definitely buy again & would recommend this to anyone looking for these vacuum bags!! I had a little trouble getting the bag in the vacuum, but that’s because I’ve never replaced one before, my husband got it in with no problem.

Bags work as advertised. A bit difficult to clean, but I highly recommend emptying them to the best of your ability and re-use them until they wear out.
