Why is this so expensive?

Supposedly the "BONECO Aqua Pro 2-in-1 Humidifier Filter A250" is a replacement for the 7531 demineralization cartridge, and it's priced much more reasonably.

I know granules are disposable, but what is shelf life of this cartridge? Can it be refilled over and over forever?

We usually use the refill. There is a fine netting at the bottom of the cartridge for the water to filter through. Ours has just, for the first time with running two units--one 4 years and one 2 years, had the netting break in one that is two years old which resulted in the granules spilling into the entirety of the humidifier. It was a bit of a mess to clean up, but not too terrible. Worst part was that we had just refilled a few days prior. So, in short, yes, can be refilled over and over for quite some time, but not forever. I would recommend checking the netting at the bottom after dumping old granules and before replacing with new ones for structural integrity.

One ct at $15.99; 2pk at $60.99? I'm obviously misreading something. Please clarify.
