Always a perfect story.
There hasn’t been a Susan Stoker book I haven’t adored. Matthew and Caroline’s story gets a new series off to a great stark. The author does a nice job of making sure her readers are introduced to the whole SEAL team that will be featured.Matthew (Wolf) is the Team Leader of his SEAL team and he has the first chance at finding love with Caroline. Of course Matthew, being an Alpha has zero confidence issues although he does know he is done with surface relations with women. He wants what his parents have. Caroline, who is about as kick-ass as the SEAL team, doesn’t understand or completely believe that a man like Wolf wants her.Throw in action and intrigue, a traitor and a swoony-sweet love story and you’ve got ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

A Wolf and his lady
Protecting Caroline was my second foray into Susan Stoker’s world of military romance. Here, Caroline, a chemist, gets to meet Mathew “Wolf” Steel when she boarded a plane on her way to Virginia. Seat mates during the flight, both of them were unprepared when the plane they were on was hijacked by a terrorist, an it would take both their help, together with Wolf’s fellow Navy SEAL Abe and Mozart, to thwart the hijacking attempt.I picked up Protecting Caroline after I read Rescuing Rayne, Susan Stoker’s first book in her Delta Force Heroes series. Caroline’s story was, in fact, the one that convinced me to follow the author’s work, and today, dozens of her books later, I am still as addicted.I also just recently listened to the audiobook version of Protecting Caroline, which was narrated by Stella Bloom, one of the author’s best narrators. No surprise there, I fell in love with the story once again!I would urge you to read or listen to the story with a grain of salt. This is fiction, after all, and if you are expecting a story which is as realistic to what Navy SEALs and their women do or how they act, then this might not be for you. If, however, you are like me and you are looking for a story where you can get lost with a hot, alpha hero who comes to the rescue of a damsel in distress—his damsel, then this is for you.

Ignored
Caroline was moving to Virginia for a new job as there was nothing holding here in California now that her parents were gone. As her moving expenses were being covered she had decided to fly and have her car shipped. The plane was crowded and she found herself sitting in an aisle seat next to a huge well built man. Wolf and his buddy were on their way Norfolk to see a retired Navy buddy. He was squeezed in between another man on his left and a little lady in the aisle seat. Caroline offers to trade seats to give him move leg room. As she is about to take a sip of the complimentary beverage she notices that the ice has a funny smell and stops Wolf from taking a sip..He warns his Seal buddies. . Soon they notice just about every one is asleep and those that is being moved to the back of the plane. They are being hijacked. Wolf has to stop this, but this is only the beginning. Intriguing, entertaining and a real page turner.

Protecting Caroline
This is the beginning of Seal of Protection series and it is a non stop action packed romance centering around the Seal team leader Matthew, Wolf, and a very ordinary amazing woman, Caroline. They met on an airplane that started out normal but turned out to be life altering for the both of them. Wolf was on the flight with two other members of his team, Abe, and Mozart on the flight to visit their friend Tex. Caroline switched seats with Wolf so he would be more comfortable and they started talking about their jobs. Caroline was a chemist and was headed to start a new job. The flight attendants offered them something to drink and as soon as Caroline smelled her drink she knew it was tainted and stopped Wolf from drinking his as well. She could tell something was wrong with the ice and this set Wolf in protection mode that the airplane might have terrorists on it and they wanted the passengers asleep. It would make it easier to take the airplane over this way and Wolf's team was not going to let this happen. This was how the exciting story starts and Caroline proves she is one brave woman that Wolf falls comp!etely in love with and his team names her Ice and accepts her as one of them. They go through some terrifying incidents and Caroline proves again and again how brave she is after being kidnapped and even tortured. They rescue her in the end and Wolf is convinced by his team to not give up on their true love. This is such a fantastic adventure love story as Wolf and Caroline get their happily ever after. I cannot wait to read the next release in this series about these brave Navy SEAL team and how they are like a family.

My favorite of the series!
I’ve read most of the books in the ‘SEAL of Protection’ series. This is by far my favorite. Though I like some of the other stories a lot, I don’t like how obsessed they seem to be with sex. In “Protecting Caroline”, there is definitely underlining sexual tension, and admittedly I thought could have included more tasteful passion, but I enjoyed the fact that it didn’t seem to be all about sex. Dude’s story especially was one I just wanted to finish. I really didn’t enjoy reading about his and Cheyenne’s relationship all that much. But Wolf and Caroline on the on there hand, I thought was adorable.Caroline, a boring and ordinary chemist, and Wolf (ie Matthew), a buff and sexy navy SEAL, meet on a plane where they sit next to each other. They hit it off. Unfortunately something evil is afoot. Terrorists make an attempt to hijack the plane. Thankfully, Caroline, Wolf, as well as a couple of his SEAL team buddies who are also on the flight but sitting in different rows, save the day. But unfortunately, the plane hijacking was just a battle of a larger war. Caroline’s life is in danger and it’s up to Wolf and his team to protect her. And in the end, save her from the terrorist organization, that is larger than anybody realized.

A fast paced action read full of hot blooded Seal's and romance
Caroline actually reminded me of someone I know, who you probably all know and can relate too. For someone unremarkable she actually end up being someone very remarkable. Brave and courageous doesn't even come close to how she copes with all that is thrown at her. Wolf, well all I can say is where can I get me one. He is one badass Seal, not someone you would mess with. He and Caroline are thrown together through a very near death event and Wolf is never the same. Caroline affects him like no other. Read this exciting and fast paced story to find out more. The author does well letting you get to know the characters and I looking forward to reading more of her books and learning more about Wolf's Seal team. I love books that hook me in from the start and that is why I gave this story 5 stars, it had me reading long into the night so that I could finish it. Great book cover too....

Easy enjoyable read
Many times the people who look the most plain, can be the most interesting and intriguing people you could ever encounter. Caroline is one of those people who seam insignificant at first glance but once you get to know her she gets under your skin and you never want her to get out because she makes you want to be everything for her, be your best self and live in awe of her strength, determination and selflessness. The seal team didn't know what hit them, especially Wolf. They all admired and respected her bravery. I wanted to smack Wolf in the head for what he put her through after the rescue but at least he redeemed himself after a good telling of by his teammates. Love the story. Give me a story with bad ass alpha males and impressive females any day.

I love when the woman is the true hero!
I stumbled upon this author when I was reading another book by another author on KindleWorld Books. This is a white/white military romance that got and held my attention. I found that I liked how it was Caroline who was the hero and not Wolf her man. She was the one putting herself in harms way to protect her man. Her man who then behaved like a total jackass and had to be straightened out by him team members. This author manged to engage me and I enjoyed the story so much that I have committed to reading the stories of the other men in the team. This author started the series and then invited other authors to use her characters to write their own military romance. A good idea. Definitely worth a read especially since the book is free.

A brilliant read
A brilliant read from Susan.I read this as part of the first collection is amazing and had to purchase the rest because I want to hear about the other on the team. These three couples were unexpected but amazingly fit together with their respective partners but also the team as well, every one of them goes through trauma that would cut most people off at the knees but these woman especially amaze me in how they cope after their rescues and with life after. Can’t wait to read more from this series

liked the concept
This was a fast paced romance in terms of the speed in which the relationship the book is focused on progresses as well as the fact that the story has quite a lot of action in it. I liked the concept of the story (hero and heroine meet on a plane that gets hijacked by terrorists and a relationship blossoms from there). However I wished events hadn't occurred so quickly and that the story had been spread out more so the relationship between the characters could have developed better. I thought the way the book was written made the story, for me, a bit difficult to read. The POV you were seeing the story from kept jumping around to different characters and it sometimes wasn't initially clear that the POV had changed. Overall I think the idea behind the story was good but the execution of it could have been better.
