Dulse Powder (Palmaria Palmata) - Canadian Wildcrafted Nova Scotia Dulse Powder for Thyroid and Bones - Vegan Friendly Atlantic Dulse Powder (4 Ounce)

I'm Indigenous (Arctic Native), and our people have suffered from numerous maladies, i.e. diabetes, metabolic syndrome, cancer, etc., as a result of losing subsistence rights. As such, natural and ancestral foods are important to me. It's difficult to obtain such things in the L48, particularly the south. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to try this through Amazon's Vine program. This is a superfood I've never heard of, from Nova Scotia. It's packed with nutrients, and also helps support gut health. I added it to a key lime smoothie, and had zero issues. It does change the color a bit, but my smoothie still tasted like key lime, and it blended in very easily. I love the ease of use and versatility. Definitely a win!

Because dulse is nutrient dense with fiber, protein, vitamins, trace minerals, healthy fatty acids, and antioxidants, I incorporated 1 1/2 teaspoons dulse powder(a serving size) into 1 tablespoon of butter to make dulse butter for my toast. Although I ate the toast, the seaweed butter is not a favorite of mine. If you like the taste of seaweed, in soups, bread, and other foods, then you would like dulse. Per packet, there are approximately 18 servings at $1 per serving.

I got this to mix with my smoothie and, hopefully, maintain my bone health as I get older. It is easy to use and comes in a resealable puch to keep it fresh. Time will tell if it is effective.

I love how packed full of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. It is the perfect supplement to add to smoothies to give a boost to your daily intake. I love smoothies, and I love any kind of powders that I can add to not only add flavor but to also add important ingredients and vitamins to my daily diet. I was quite surprised by all the things in this powder. I highly recommend. This is one I will be using regularly.
