I've installed 2 of these now: 1 for us, 1 for the neighbor. Quality materials that work for pretty much any porch and steps. You can adjust the size. Holes are pre-drilled, and the powder coat is really good. The neighbor praises the stability, as they use it extensively. Install time: 2-3 hours depending on your personal skillset and tool availability. Point of note: This is exceptionally well priced. I can't buy the raw materials for this price... let alone an adjustable kit with instructions, screws, and hinges.

I thought was expensive but I was pleased with the quality. The hand rail and section rails came with all the appropriate components and included drills for both wood and concrete installation. It even included the bits and a magnetic extension for the bit to drill the self drill screws in. I found the self drilling screws to be sharp enough to not worry about pre drilling. It’s certainly a quality buy for the money!

I received several quotes for a modest railing for my new deck steps ranging from $500 to over $1500 (not including installation!). This railing system is a great bargain in contrast to the overpriced alternatives. Pots and rails are made of steel with some rugged plastic connectors. I added an extension to the stair rail to connect it to the house and that also worked out well. Instructions are clear and well written and missed only having a detailed parts list. Parts provided include drill bits and a socket to secure the surface mount plates at the bottom of the posts. I did not give it the full five stars because I thought the lag bolts to secure the plates were too short so I replaced them with longer bolts. The result is a very study and pleasing installation. Great value, good design and good quality.

Works great. Our remodel is not finished. However they look great. Cannot let people hang in them or let kids slide and hang or they will not last. They do the job.

Our back stoop has a top landing about 3 feet square. I bought this (plus the step rail) to provide some support for my elderly mother when she comes over (plus we're getting older too!). It comes with almost everything needed to install. Everything was well packaged, and included screws and anchors, a miniature level, a concrete bit and a HSS bit, ruler, and depth gage for the anchors. The hardest part was drilling the concrete. If you are going into concrete and if you don't have an SDS drill, borrow or rent one and a 5/16 (8mm) SDS bit. The bit provided will only work on Jacob's chuck type drills, and doesn't last long even if kept wet. SDS highly recommended. Keep the bit wet. Also divot the hole centers before drilling or the bit will wander. For me the other tricky part was determining the house end anchoring. the top was pretty fixed if I wanted a level rail, but the lower rail could be moved. I appreciated being able to locate it anywhere on the post and not have that predetermined. (My house has vinyl siding, so I wanted to mount it where the screws would find sound substrate.) (the steps handrail and mid rail height was not adjustable but was not a problem). It comes with an adjustable top rail joint to connect the hand rail sections together. There were no instructions provided for this section, but if you are reasonably handy you can figure it out. A little booklet did come with the step railing. I used an angle grinder to cut the rails to the lengths I needed, but a hacksaw would also work.

I don't know why the extension costs more than the rails. Installation went ok till I tried to screw in the anchored screws. The included bit was not the same size as the screw.

I had an issue where i received two different top rails. The rail for the stairs was rectangular and the rail for the top of stairs to the house was oval. I contacted the company CR Handrail and they were awesome to deal with. They sent me the oval handrail for the stairs promptly and at no extra charge. The installation was straight forward. The only word of caution i would give would be to be careful with the screws. They strip very easy. I would use a screwdriver rather than a drill for installation

Would have given it 5 stars except the installation was made harder than it had to be because of the vague instructions included in the package. Watch the YouTube video before installing is my advice and save yourself some grief in trying to follow the tiny little instruction booklet. Once installed it is sturdy, functional and attractive.

The railing looks great. A friend installed it & was able to cut the 4ft extension piece to fit the 3ft landing. The only issue with the instructions is they don’t identify that the space between the uprights on the stair should be measured so that the cross piece fits. Fortunately the excess piece from the too long extension worked .
