I bought these for an emergency kit for my significant other's car. It looks decent and seems to work well. I can't tell the quality of the steel, but it seems to be good enough (it's certainly stronger than my grip anyway). Other reviewers said they had trouble with the nut needing to be retightened frequently, and this one also had the nut loose. A drop of LocTite fixed that. All in all, it's a good substitute for use in an emergency or occasional use. Probably not up the standards of a real Channelock pliers, but the price is much lower. The plastic handle covers are easy on the hands.

outstanding... for small jobs.. rugged built ... comfortable fit.. walley has very similar unit for $2. less.. ( i have one) and has better grips ( longer).. HOWEVER.. in comparison, this unit has slightly longer nose ( fits tighter spaces ) ... better finish... smoother jaw action... to make it work better - I fully open and close handles 30 + times to wear off burrs... add a drop of oil ... tighten tension nut... ( there is a curved washer spring under tension nut to help keep jaws snug - not loose ).. add drop of lock-tite to nut threads ( or nut will get lose)... use steel hand file to slightly debur sharp edges... i hope plastic grips stay on ( don't get lose and slide off with age).. I recommend...

You get what you pay. This gets the job done and great stuff for the cheap price. Highly recommend!
